Why don't we just yell over to the defense and tell them we are running. It takes a good second for those stretch runs. I would enjoy a counter at least once this game.

the world expects run on 4th down. what's the difference between us not getting it on the ground and not completing a play action pass? i see no reason why we shouldn't try something. our OLine is struggling with the run game so let's just motion another guy into the pile and create and absolutely impossible situation for our team. just stay spread out and run something off of that. you have a better shot.

Today IS the day we get the running game going. I'm predicting 200 yards on the ground today, with one of the RB's going over the century mark...and to top it off Jimmy Clausen will have his first zero interception game of the year. A very efficient and balanced offense and some more big plays from our rock solid defense.

As you can see, I'm very optimistic today. My liver can't handle any more pathetic offensive displays.

IMO I think that was a smart play, you are 1 yard away from a new set of downs worry about that first, then take your shots.

i just changed outfits and Purdue missed the FG. i'm going to keep this gear on for the time being

I see your point, but hear mine: A good team KNOWS they will pick up the 1 yard on third down. You can do the math there.
