Dude. FGs are the least of our problems in "getting in the hunt."

I have seen nothing that makes me think we will magically be in a NC hunt next year.

Most of our skill players will be Juniors next year. They should play well together. When you kill the momentum by missing a FG, it affects the offense. It affects field position. It also affects the play calling because you make decisions based on the fact that you can't make a FG. Say what you want, but our kickers will prevent us from beating any quality opponent.

Thats it. I am going on a "vision quest" this week. I am going to stay away from the boards because I don't think I will be able to handle the negativity. I am going to head out into the woods (first, I have to find some woods in So Cal) and I am going to go try to find my spirit guide. I will do whatever it takes - sweat lodge, peyote, anything. Hello. I'm new here, I needed somewhere to vent! Man I can't believe how bad our lines are! Everything starts up front and for us that usually means:

1.On offense: nothing
2. On defense: a long drive for the opposition.

We should never try fieldgoals....it has been a long standing problem. Think back to the chip shot missed against USC in '05 that would have at least forced OT. New kicker=same problems. 51 yard fieldgoals are difficult and I don't why, with Charlie's propensity to go for it on fourth down, we didn't go for it. Bad snap on the 41 yarder but still....come on.

I'm not that dissappointed in the defense; they were on the field A LOT. I would like to see the first man wrap up and the second man go for the strip instead of vice versa. But overall the defense looks better. We're going to win at least 5 more games thanks to the least exciting schedule we've had in my lifetime but the USC game is going to be....well....scary, ugly, a butt kicking or a mauling (you guys pick).

The progress from last year has been negligable and it doesn't look great going forward.

YES! i like tenuta and all but i always remember georgia tech's defense sucking after the first few games of the season.

We need to learn from our mistakes and start getting ready for purdue. We are a very young team and are gona make mistakes. It isn't easy to rebound from a 3-9season but i think we are progressing well, Michigan state is a good football team and we knew going into today that it would be a battle. I'm excited to see how we play next week against purdue,I think we should be pumped up for that one!! GO IRISH!!!
