Okay Okay, def do not see him going to USC bc he wants to be able to go on his mission for the LDS church, and there was an article on scout if i remember correctly about Manti himself saying that a few years back they promised another mormon athlete that he could go on his mission, only to not live up to their promise and they made him stay or get his schollie pulled. I do see that this athlete has legitimate interest in us, and hope that we can get him on board. BYU is also a big possibility.We need more good defensive athletes to back up last years outstanding class, and an athlete of his caliber could definately compete to be a starter his RS sophomore year in my opinion. I read the last couple of pages......does anyone have a specific date on when he is visiting?

Nice IA, I had no idea about that one incident with USC...thats a big deal wheneva USC is outta the picture..

i hope to see carlo or someone else on the team trying to contact him and jenkins and telling thwem how they could lock down evry team if they all came together to become the best lb corps ever

Yeah, that would definately bring some offenses to fear our defense. Add to the fact that filer, fleming, and Pozlusney are there in the picture and its truely downright frightening. When these guys are sophomores (the 09 class with carlo) our team should be top of the nation in defense IF we lock down the targets we have left. I would really like to see us land some more DBs in this class, but i havent seen as many quality ones as the 08 class had.

if i committed to play LB at a school i wouldnt call the best player at my position and ask him to commit to my team it would be better for ND but from carlos' perspective no way i want manti on the team. that said i wish he would call

but as a competitor you want to go against the best. and plus they are running a 3-4. 4 lb's. why cant manti carlo jenkins and fox roam the mid field? i mean hell it adds up to me

maybe as seniors but the two classes of lbs before this would complain about that

well if they are complaining about not getting playing time then they need to buckle thier chinstrap and take thier position back. its that simple. the best players will play. its like that in all sports. this isnt the game where mom paid 50 dollars and so everyone has to play. no, you want the glory then make the plays. i dont care what your year is. if floyd comes in here and starts do you thyink the older wr are gonna be mad. yup but its thier job to be better than him or make the best of thier opportunity

Yeah, but their is a huge difference between a senior and a freshman....at least most of the time. Im sure most of our freshman could match up with Tyrone Willinghams senior recruits. Most=minus Crum.

Actually i would be very surprised if Manti picks USC. It was during the week that scout articles were free that i saw what Manti said i believe. I think its on Manti's page on scout, something like on Faith and Football or giving up big things for greater things. Someone who has premium content can back me up on this one. I think its a more of a BYU, Hawaii, Notre Dame race, with most likely BYU in the lead in my opinion. Anybody else think different?

I cant wait until we win our next championship so it will finally shut up all the haters. I live in buckeye country and they all talk crap all the time. and speaking of haters, are you rooting for USC or something realitycheck? Cause if so that makes u one cool cat posting on a notre damn message board. God u must have alot of time on ur hands. Anyways, back on subject, is Teo going to wait till NSD to announce?

if we have to wait for this kid then we have to wait. we seem to have a shot at him so lets just keep lighting the candles and hope he commits to us

I have always gotten the feeling from all of the articles and interviews that Te'o in the end will more than likely be BYU or a west coast team- USC or Stanford/UCLA/Cali/////
