How can you possibly equate Jimmy Clausen going to a party with teammates and friends with his ability to lead the team? That makes no sense. I have been to SYR's where guys like Rick Mirer and Demetrius Dubose and Aaron Taylor were partying before hand. Who cares? What else is there to do in South Bend than play beer pong, or flip cup, or Uecker???

OMG........college kids drinking, really? Yes this issue needs to be addressed. I think with all the other attention major D-1 programs are reciving, you address it and move on.

Yeah, and Paterno doesn't seem to think numerous felonies are a problem. This whole thing should be a non issue.

There is such a thing as letting off steam. Just because a kid is drinking doesn't mean he doesn't have good values or leadership ability. Just means he's drinking at a party. Should he be smarter? Maybe.

back to the subject though, Irish fans should be encouraged to see the teammates bonding together, last season illustrated what can happen when the team chemistry is low (i.e. Sullivan and his alleged problems with JC) Now that these are all Weis's boys you'll see everybody on the same page

I was at an ND basketball game last season and these same 4 guys were hanging out (with a few others) about 10 feet from us. Weis even sent a message to JC to wear his hat straight since he is a "role model" for kids. According to the Usher anyway.

Is ANYONE in Jimmy's circle of friends telling him how ridiculous the hair looks? I have bad memories of extended family that keep things like tractor tires and bathtubs in their front yards with haircuts like this! A bit ironic that the person that I remember most vividly was cousin 'Jimmy....'

I'll tell you what, this is a non-issue. What college kid doesn't drink? If any of them get suspended that would be beyond ridiculous. I would guess this is probably around spring practice time or so. Jimmy needs to be more careful though.

Plain and simple. If you are JC or any other ND player, don't get in pictures with alcohol in the picture or even cups.

Those who wish to harm ND and its student athletes will do what they can with what they have.

I don't think Jimmy can stay away from alcohol at ND unless he spends all his time in church, the library, or the bathroom. Okay, maybe not even the bathroom because I had a beer in the shower many times in the dorms while getting ready to go out. I also don't think he can avoid pictures in this day and age of cell phone cameras. Does anyone remember the pictures of Zibby and Shark at a party with their shirts off and blood shot eyes last year or the year before? I know there is the whole over 21/under 21 argument, but c'mon...who cares? I cannot wait for practice to start this week so we can start talking about REAL stuff! I hate this time of year! I am soooooo ready for this season to start!!!

This is just further proof of how bad the media has become. They jump at the opportunity to MAKE news out of something that happens every night, in every college in the world. There real thing is for everyone to learn from this. Lesson one: Going forward no cell phones at parties. Lesson two: CO-EDs not permitted to wear more than one bra, I mean really what is she hiding... she looks like a 1980s tv detective. This is not news guys, it is more sensatonalism from Networks who claim to be into "topics" and entertainment...not actual news. Give me a break, Go Irish!!!
