300 Bench REPS is off the charts!!

it's not 300 reps at the bench - his max bench for one repetition is 300 pounds, which isn't actually all that impressive (I'm 6'0", 200 lbs and can bench 325 pounds) - especially for a kid who weighs in at 295 (i.e., he can bench just barely his weight). He has the frame to pack muscle on though with a serious conditioning program.

his reps for the bench equals 21, which I believe is done at 150 lbs for the high school combine (its 225 lbs at the nfl combine).

Maybe CW knows something about Patrick we don't know and that is why he doesn't have an offer(pure speculation on my part...I do not know of any issues with Patrick Ward). I agree that the lack of an offer is strange.

I am a former Providence Catholic O-lineman. Their scheme calls for the linemen to be mobile. I was 6'0" and 240 lbs as a sr. tackle at Providence. I could only bench 285 lbs. After my freshman season in college, I tipped the scales at 305 lbs with a 425 lb bench press. ND should take a chance on this kid. ND took a pass on another skinny (6'6" 240lb)lineman from Providence named Eric Steinbach. He only ended up as the Big Ten lineman of the year after his sr year at Iowa and is now with the Cleveland Browns. I may be biased, but I'm just sayin..........
