We are gonna have to go into the portal and pay big $$ this offseason. We haven’t recruited overly well in a couple years at LB for whatever reason when you have a former LB and defensive minded head coach.

Or you just pay big now and give the money to Kaden Henderson and rock with...

In a defense that is in nickel / dime 75% of the time and only plays 2 linebackers, I don't understand the sentiment that ND is going to have a problem at linebacker heading into 2027. I think that's severely misguided.

Also, with Bowen, Sneed and KVA (possible) coming off the books, those are 3 of ND's highest paid players, freeing up substantial money. If ND had to go spend some money in the portal to add 1 additional quality linebacker because KVA doesn't return, that's absolutely nothing in today's game.

They haven't recruited well at LB in years and the portal (aside from JJB) has been non-existent.

Landing a Top 5 LB in both the 2024 and 2025 classes wasn’t good? If they land Henderson, they’ll have landed a Top 5 LB in 3 of the last 4 years. 2023 had Ausberry and Bowen. 2022 class had, yet another Top 5
LB in Sneed.

Are people under the impression linebacker isn’t a 2 starter position group?
