ugh look at those ugly games lol
It will be like Covid again with empty stadiums...i remember watching Bundesliga with no one in the stands...There are going to be a lot of empty seats.
dont forget FIFA are just as evil. It's already a disgrace and I hope it's an absolute disaster.
American corporatism and capitalist greed on a laughable level.

I think the safe bet is that it's going to be.It's already a disgrace and I hope it's an absolute disaster.

You aren't wrong...I mean at the end of the day, this is luxury entertainment. I don’t complain about ND prices / Super Bowl tickets. Is NJ being pigs? Absolutely, but no one is forced to go to the World Cup.
Ryder cup tickets in Ireland next year are 499 euro a pop PER DAY lol
The mandate will arrive with our stimulus checks....but no one is forced to go to the World Cup.
Maybe I'm just out of the loop. I don't watch much TV. It seems like there is very little excitement for the world cup this year. Occasionally my algorithm is europoors complaining about the costs or something. But im not seeing much excitement about the world cup itselfI mean at the end of the day, this is luxury entertainment. I don’t complain about ND prices / Super Bowl tickets. Is NJ being pigs? I don't think the US is setting ticket prices?
I also expected it to have much more hype. I honestly think the 2028 Olympics will be a bigger national story with the apathy I’ve seen.Maybe I'm just out of the loop. I don't watch much TV. American ownership is going to dominate the English Premier League soon enough.True. FIFA is setting extreme prices in the U.S. because they know American fans are used to getting raked over the coals by our corporatized sporting structure and there's enough pay pigs in the U.S. ready to spend thousands on a game they don't even watch on a regular basis. We are easily exploitable because anything besides paying 400% normal prices would be commie nonsense!
FIFA however, are not the ones making decisions to charge fans 10x normal fare for public transportation on match day, and they wont be the ones charging $17-20 for a pint in the stadium.

Get ready for fucking play in games and playoffs with half of the stadium being corporate seating.
Private equity has found it's way into youth sports now. It's their next frontier. Club soccer is the center of the bullseye. As if youth soccer in America was already a mess.....It's disgusting.
More than the prices will keep the international fans away. The social media narrative is really out there and strong that the US is a warzone right now. People are afraid to come here. It's ridiculous, but its very real. As goofy as it sounds, the first red flag was Wrestlemania. Apparently, it was the least attended Wm by international fans in years.
International fans are going to games in Canada and Mexico. That's why Visa applications are lower than what the USA and FIFA were expecting.More than the prices will keep the international fans away. the vibes in Mexican cities are going to be insanely good, proper fans, proper football culture and proper fraternity with other nations.International fans are going to games in Canada and Mexico. That's why Visa applications are lower than what the USA and FIFA were expecting.
We are not exactly giving off welcome wagon vibes here at the moment, either. People in Uruguay and Portugal might actually be more dialed in about what is happening here than a good portion of actual American citizens. There perceptions could go either way.
It's been 32 years since the USA hosted a World Cup. From the looks of things, we may not be getting it again for a very long time after this one is over.the vibes in Mexican cities are going to be insanely good, proper fans, proper football culture and proper fraternity with other nations.
I'm fine with getting it, I'm fine with not. I would just rotate it between like 4 or 5 countries. Germany, UK, Italy, Japan, Brazil seems about right to me.It's been 32 years since the USA hosted a World Cup. Shhhhh, don't tell Burma. He'll stroke out from banging epithets out on his old PS/1.![]()
