Which rotational players do we expect to leave? Wagner, Greathouse, and Sneed have been floated.

I guess your definition of rotational is different than mine. Wagner is a Captain and was a starter the entire season (and starter for 2 yrs in a row).
Fine. Players that play significant minutes. Thanks for marking up my paper, Mr. Teacher!

Yeah, he's a captain. Am I missing something? Why are there rumors he is looking to transfer?

I watched every play of every game this year, and don't think I noticed Sneed more than a handful of times all season. I expected so much more, but we'll see in 2026.

I would try hard to keep him now with the KVA injury. He has that same versatility of playing the edge on passing downs.

I think it was mentioned in a podcast how he is someone that can probably make a ton in the portal and we might not necessarily want to match and devote the same level of limited resources to him when we have so many promising tackles on the roster that will cost less.

So not a rumor that he is looking or definitely going, but something that shouldn't surprise anyone if it happens

Hoping the admissions office lets ND do what they want going forward in the portal, screw this crap not letting underclassmen in. The whole school should be pissed off it's time we start kicking ass.

Admissions needs to stop with the holier than thou crap. Stanford is a better school than Notre Dame, academically. Last portal cycle, Stanford took 4 undergrad transfers who were 2 years removed from HS. The schools that they transferred from? Colorado, UCF, Idaho, and Texas Tech. The year before, they took a kid who spent 2 years at Northern Iowa. Again, not exactly an elite institution. Outside of Colorado, those are not very impressive institutions. If Stanford can take a bunch of undergrad transfers, then there is ZERO excuse for Notre Dame not to do the same. Spare me with the required courses garbage. I'm sure that Stanford has similar "requirements."

From Stanford's website

In order to graduate, undergraduates must complete the following General Education Requirements:

  • Civic, Liberal, and Global Education (COLLEGE) Requirement
  • Ways of Thinking, Ways of Doing (Ways) Requirement
  • Writing and Rhetoric Requirement
  • Language Requirement

Now compare that to ND .... LOL.

The bigger issue is that we need ND to change their viewpoint that virtually all transfers are expected to graduate after 4 Academic school years.

If the rules are changed where everyone gets 5 years, I wonder if that would change it.
