Well it quite obviously wasnt Jin as an O6, as his tombstone stated 9-22-2004 (plane crash date). The FB was certainly in there to throw you off a bit. While Michael is back, I believe neither Walt nor Michael will be the last of the O6. For the obit in the finale last year to be true, Walt and Michael would have been living under an alias, in which case you cannot have 1 without the other, as it stated in the obit that he was survived by a teenage son. So imo Walt or Michael is not the last of the O6, Jin did not get off the island as I had said, but he is still alive.

Someone dies next week, or so said the preview so we'll see and that will shore up the last of the O6 I think. I dont think you can include Aaron simply on the basis that he was not on the manifest, and would not be included as a passenger.

You really can't rule out Ben either in the coffin. No family, no friends, everyone hates him etc... And I believe these FFs are in order from oldest to newest.. IE Jack & Kate at the airport being the last FF. Basically they go in reverse order of how they appear on the show. Its the whole "survived by a teenaged son" deal that throws me off.

It's really too bad that none of you took me up on my bet.

good catch, i saw that is said 2004, i didn't see a month or date. If so, then whoever "saved" the Oceanic six probably made them adopt the cover story that he died in the crash

I don't recall seeing the words of the obituary, can you find a screencap of it? that would certainly reveal some clues.

I understand, we've talked about Aaron not being one before, but then this is another example of the writers and ABC people screwed up. At then end of the show the week before they revealed Aaron off island in a flashforward, the preview for the next week said they were revealing an additional Oceanic 6 memeber. They didn't just say a survivor of the flight. I think you're probably right, he's not included, which makes me right, the writers/ABC have heads up eachothers backsides.

That was my original theory at the end of last season. But Ben is not someone who Widmore would just allow to die and have a public funeral/viewing for. They'd just dispose of his body. Ben would certainly fit with other aspects (he's known to both Jack and Kate, Kate would respond that way when learning of his death) but I don't think he would leave the island alive or live off the island and have a public funeral if he did.

We shall see.

the difficulty with using some of those sources is they may contain spoiler info.

The lospedia page "translation" doesn't mention the teenage boy at all. and we haven't heard the name of "Jo-- --antham" yet.

SoCal, I will need an explanation and theories of tonights finale. It happens that tonight is Last Day Of School and the margaritas may keep me off my game while watching tonight.

and I don't have to work until August 10th :)

Sawyer has become one of my favorite characters, but NOT because as you say "he's hot." He has definitely changed from a loner to someone who cares about everyone on that island.

Walt looking 4 years older, 2 feet taller and with a 5 o'clock shadow was funny, because they were able to use the fact that he went to see Hurley 3 years after they (the Oceanic 6) left the island. so that would be roughly 3 years and a few months from when he was just a juvenile vs a teenager.

I don't like that they killed off Jin and Michael. Am glad they didn't kill off Sawyer and Desmond.

Overall, not much more to say about the episode. They tied up a few lose ends, answered a few questions, moved the plot along. It definitely appears that next season will be the last. Probably them showing everything that went wrong on the island after Jack et al. left.

It also appears the flashforwards filling in the details of the Oceanic 6 once they left the island have caught up with the present (i.e. the present is now 3 years after they left the island.) It seems like the show will now follow the Oceanic 6 trying to get back, and have flashbacks to what went on on the island after they left.

The best part about Sawyer's character is that he has picked up this care for everyone while retaining his chip on the shoulder somewhat rebellious attitude. Adds a bit of depth to his character.

Right, it's not like he just became a pushover or pacifist. he just realized he can care for others and still be himself... to a degree.

There are 2 seasons left, that is a fact.

I liked the episode. Locke in the coffin was surprising, but not shocking. Penny & Des was so great to see happen. I think Michael is dead, Jin not so much. I think Sun is going to get into bed with Widmore to try to find the island again in order to find out once and for all that Jin is alive, which is bad news for our heroes.
Loved the Sawyer bit, he has become my favorite character, outside of Ben.

<Locke> You just killed everyone on that boat!
<Ben (with blood all over his face> So What?

Interesting Hugos ability to visit with dead people. Also of note is Charlottes journey to find her birthplace, as Miles asks her why she wanted to leave the island again.
What happened to Daniel and the rafties? Sawyer and Juliet sharing the Dharma Rum. The Claire dream kinda freaked me out, as she kind of lost her Australian accent near the end of that speech.
The telephone call that Kate got said something to the effect "You have to go back to the island" in reverse.
So I guess the big mystery now is who is Locke's "teenage son" ?
