I have a picture of Omar Hunter on my desk to remind me constantly not to rush into love with these recruits, I am holding off on this one but deep down I have begun a man-crush.
Oh yeah! I like him as much as any recruit in the country over thae last few years. I think he will be a mix between Reggie Bush and Adrian Peterson
I think we have a pretty good chance.

First off forty yard dash times are overrated plus you can't go by what these article and databases say because I remember a couple of years ago the databases were listing Joe McKnight with a 4.7 forty time.I have one concern, what's with the reported 4.57 forty time?
I love you guys. This is something so great to come home to. My lacrosse team lost because of an illegal stick penalty. The stick wasn't illegal, there was one ref and he was incompetent. We tested the stick after the game in front of the ref and it was completely legal. So we lose, I come home to this, and I'm happy again.
His high school stats are un-friggen-believable...
Does he play in one of the smaller/weaker divisions? Obviously he is extremely talented regardless of the competition level but 42 TDs?? Very, very, very impressive. Glad to have him.
He seems well-spoken, hope he steps up like Crist and is one of the leaders of his class.

Not to take anything away from either of them, but Darius Walker had 46tds his season year. Anyway, Wood seems like he will pair well with Jonas Gray, thunder and lightning or something.
Did a little searching for some video of him:
WeAreSC.com - Video: RB Cierre Wood
The video quality isn't great but you can start to see more of why he is ranked as such an elite player (other than the impressive offers).
It's interesting how he seems to be their punter... it allows them to go for the first down A LOT. Even when he does punt it away he has a 40 yd average, which is not exactly shabby. Makes me wonder if Charlie would use him in that role - maybe line him up as either the punter if we were across the 50 or alongside the punter for a possible direct-snap.
From watching him it seems what he has more than speed or power is vision and some tough-to-see moves. He just makes tacklers miss.
Great job by the staff of again getting someone that is not only a phenomenal athlete but also smart and someone with good character. Doesn't hurt that he is also the highest rated RB we have landed (potentially) in over a decade. Aldridge, Allen, Hughes, Gray, and Wood.... what a great group.
