You make a legit argument, but I stand by that F1 drivers are the best in the world. Case in point: Marcus Ericsson...

- INDY: 97 Starts, 4 wins and 12 Podiums
- F1: 97 Starts 0 wins, 0 podiums and a total of 18 career points

When drivers "wash out" of F1, some will go to INDY. I have never heard for a driver going the other way (I could be wrong)
Now, don't get it twisted, I really like Nascar, Indy and yes dirt track racing (take my son all the time). I just prefer F1 for the speed, drama and all that comes with it. Hope that answers your question

Late Edit: Forgot to mention, I can't imagine a guy like Jimmie Johnson (fantastic driver) racing F1 in his mid/late 40s like he did with INDY.
Surprised by the results, but a number of F1 drivers moved to Indy Car. Mario, Emerson Fittipaldi, Nigel Mansell, Jacques Villeneuve, Graham Hill, Jim Clark, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Eddie Cheever.

That looks crazy cool! To your reply, I agree, lots of guys do go from F1 to INDY, but few go from INDY to F1 and have successful goes at it. I can't think of any at the moment (someone prob knows).

There are 2-3 current INDY guys that have a chance. One rumor I read for the new Cadillac team is Colton Herta from the Andretti team, but the article seemed to indicate it was an opinion only.

It's definitely crazy cool. Even if you're not a race fan, it should be on your bucket list. The pageantry and enormity alone are worth doing it at least once and the museum is amazing.

Honestly the last one i remember to go from Indy to F1 was Michael Andretti, and we all know how that turned out
