Literally the stupidest tax policy in the world. You want to benefit low wage earners you lower the tax rate based upon AGI or you up the earned income credit.

Apples and oranges. I've never been for student loan forgiveness, but if you do it, it needs to be for everyone. Not just a select group. Want a free education? Gov will pay 100% as long as you are willing to go into the military for 4 years.

As far as the $1,000, not a bad idea overall as long as it's not touchable by the person and the Government. It will help supplement SS payments that lag way behind inflation.

Fair point. I would hope the complexity of equipment added and upgrading of avionics would be comprehensive. Then again the current AF1 is a 40 year old jet and a newer jet may have some structural advantages. If it can be refit in a few weeks then the current AF1 "platform" can't be much more than a paint job.

It will take a couple of years to refit. If they ordered a new one, it would take 5-8 years to build a new one. The current one is so old, it's time to retire it.
