Okay, you said he had never been to the front which you were wrong. Own up to it, not a big deal.
Ok I was wrong but was that really a front line? He was escaping those bullets and mortars quick. Just a common sense question

Laughable that treating a foreign head of state like dogshit over the last month, who’s country has been at war for 3 years with our nation’s most sworn enemy is somehow considered America First.
Yeah man let’s just keep giving them hundreds of billions of dollars in aid so hundreds of thousands can die. That will be gold for America. Zelenskyy is delusional at his prospects in the war and delusional in thinking he has any leg to stand on with negotiations here. We have provided roughly 50% of the total aid (and that is strictly speaking in terms of the materiel) and his manpower is dwindling. He has zero path to victory. It is not in our interest to continue throwing money away in an effort that will fail. Putin will win unless additional manpower comes in from NATO countries, and that will spiral into a much more dangerous security situation if it comes to pass. Zelenskyy is just too stubborn or too proud to take the deal that he can, and we are the only ones who can effectively provide him any sort of leverage whatsoever in that Russia ending the war instead of continuing on makes strategic sense for them.

But boy can they tweet about how US Bad!

There was a President between '16 and '20 that suggested the EU reduce their dependency on Russian energy, but they blew him off. Now they help keep Russia afloat during the war. Hilarious how that bit them in the butt.

Your reasoning is absurd.

“Putin will win unless additional manpower comes in from NATO countries and that will spiral into a much more dangerous security situation.”

So if we pull back on helping Ukraine, and god forbid Russia becomes more aggressive without fear of the US stepping in, what do you think will happen if NATO and the European countries get drawn into a wider conflict?

No, what I’m saying is that it is imperative that we end the war as quickly as possible. Russia’s industrial output and manpower advantage will eventually beat Ukraine regardless of whatever aid we provide them.

Putin is singularly the one to blame for starting the conflict no doubt. I don’t really care what sort of grievances he had against Ukraine, but for over a decade he has directed and funded insurrection in eastern Ukraine leading up to this and it is clearly a war for territorial expansion. I don’t really give a damn about expanding US and NATO influence, most of that was likely brought on by a reemerging and outward looking Russia with a president looking to rebuild the USSR. As great as it would be for Ukraine to win, this isn’t Hollywood, and the good guys don’t always win. But we can stop them from ceasing to exist if they would face reality.

Trump refuses to put too much blame on Putin because a combination of a) he only really cares about who is nice to him lately and b) he’s trying to make a deal and Russia has more leverage, pissing him off is counter productive to making a deal.

The whole “We need a strong leader again” thing was just bullshit then, right? Like people are so deluded into thinking somehow today was a projection of strength or some master negotiation lmao.

I would have thought the people who jerk off to Ronald Reagan would be a little pissed off that in the space of a month all of the US soft power around the world is fading into oblivion. Wild to see the stark differences in Vance being a Karen pleading for a thank you and Reagan with the Berlin Wall.

Soft power is why you’re able to swing your dick around and not face any repercussions for anything. You get to install whoever you like in any government around the world. The graceful exit thing is a joke too, that would be true if Vance/Donny didn’t just pull the ripcord on international relationships.

Yolo my favorite twitter influencer DavidDukeSuperFan1488 told me it was the MSM.

Today was a projection of the US being available to the highest bidder. Instead of standing up for freedom and democracy (pretty sure that’s what our country was founded on) we are apparently willing to abdicate our leadership on the world stage if those weaker than us (Ukraine) don’t bend the knee in public and capitulate to our petty demands. Vance in particular came off like an insecure dweeb. The moment was too large for him.

I am all for Europe taking better care of local issues and beefing up their militaries but at the end of the day, we as the US are supposed to hold ourselves to a higher standard. We are supposed to be the good guys. Instead, we looked like a bunch of mercenaries and jackasses.

I don’t think it’s going to be graceful, but ostensibly on our terms.

What good is our soft power doing for us at home?

Trump and Vance have been "negotiating" this deal in public for months!

They literally campaigned on it.
Lick more boots.
Campaigning on the general idea of making a deal to end the war is not the same as specifics of what is going to be agreed to, or arguing against the next step in negotiations publicly in front of the media right before you sign the first step.

Counter-offer, maybe the "master deal maker" who pledged to have this deal done in "24 hours" once he was elected..BEFORE HE WAS EVEN IN OFFICE....could you know.."make the deal?"

I like how you are now lecturing people on the realistic prospects of a Ukrainian victory but simultaneously voted for the assclown that made the above promises. Good work here by you.

Rather than Trump and Vance acting like petulant children all day, Trump was a dickhead from the time Zelensky exited the vehicle and shook hands with him, they could you know...get the problem solved and at the very least ATTEMPT to hold Putin accountable in public. Vance asking Zelensky to say "thank you" more while he sits next to two guys who refuse to admonish the guy who invaded his country is some class A bullshit.

thats a great idea. Let’s just “hold Putin accountable” in public and pump more money into Ukraine. There’s probably no body of evidence in recent history that will show us what sort of progress that will make towards peace.

It can both be true that I think Trump is a fool and that I think his blunderbussing on the international stage is still leagues ahead of whatever focus group tested bullshit Kamala was going to follow through with if she won.

Do you want the "Christian nation" viewpoint of being you know..good people?

or would you like the more agnostic moral/ethical "with great power comes great responsibility" angle where with the amount of power and wealth we possess we could be an incredible source for good in the world and our fellow neighbors on this planet.

Why is it our government’s responsibility to waste resources doing the job of other governments when we can’t afford our own citizen’s entitlement programs and myriad of other domestic issues? We’ve been charging our global policing bill on the credit card and we’re on the edge of becoming insolvent (if we haven’t already gone past the point of no return).

Interesting..I don't recall saying the last part at all anywhere in the post you quoted. Yet here you are STILL not willing to say Trump and Vance should say anything adverse towards Putin.

Bootlicking has reached critical mass.

He’s been saying Europe should pay more in security since his first administration
No shit! and he's been saying as an angle for this peace deal for nearly a year! In any case, the claim you made was false.

It can both be true that I think Trump is a fool and that I think his blunderbussing on the international stage is still leagues ahead of whatever focus group tested bullshit Kamala was going to follow through with if she won.
Only if you’re a retard is it a Rorschach test.
