Propaganda! This makes people think it's old pizza turning on a shelf in the gas station itself. The New Haven Salvatori's location just happens to be attached to a gas station building, but it's separate from the station itself. It's a sit down restaurant, but it's the best damn Italian (Roman style) authentic pizza you'll ever find next to a gas station, dammit!

But for real, you would not expect such excellent pizza is such an odd location in the middle of nowhere.

Think I’ve mentioned this before but my grandson and his parents are a mile and a half or so from this spot. Had no idea until we stopped at the gas station on Xmas eve. Believe I’m correct but fact check if wrong since there is more than one…off 69 we drive past the Ft Wayne airport not too far before getting there.

Next time we’re up best believe I’m getting at least a couple large pizzas.

It’s absolutely hilarious that you asked about Powers in this thread…because the original owners sold a few years ago.

They sold to the owners of one of the premiere restaurant groups in NE Indiana. A group known less for their sliders and more for their…pizza. That’s right, Powers Hamburgers is now owned and operated by the same dudes who brought you…Salvatori’s. 😂

Sadly, the bar scene down on C-Street is much different. Flashbacks is still around, but they moved way up Wells Street and took over the old Early Birds spot.

The only pizza I've had in Fort Wayne was at the zoo. 1 star. Would not recommend. I judge all of Fort Wayne's pizza now based on that.

Powers caught on fire shortly after they purchased it as well.

Do enjoy the adult nights at Potawatomi where it’s all you can drink and decent food trucks

We go to those all the time. Nothing better than being intoxicated while teasing Smiley the alligator.
Dude your my spirit animal. Smiley is my favorite. He is the star of the show and does nothing. One time I saw him raise his arm and thought I was gonna faint like a 60’s teen seeing the beatles.

Curious so I checked the menu. No Bag of Death sliders? If so, cannot be compared to White Castle.

DiFaras was in my old neighborhood. Dom was a great old guy. Always liked watching him finish off a pie with some fresh basil off the windowsill.
