As exciting as the transfer portal is I’m more curious how the QB competition folds out. Driskell is in love with Minchey and Carr. I’m just wondering do we keep it save and roll out Angeli not saying it isn’t good enough to win but I’d prefer a more mobile QB

I don’t know enough about Elijah Hughes seems like he played a good amount as a Freshman but then played in 4 games only this year not sure if that was injury related or not. So tech he has 3 years left if he’s one of the guys. I mean he seems like he will be a solid rotation piece or backup.

Based on all the reporting this year Angeli will be given a chance to win the job but really doesn’t have a shot to beat Carr unless he reinjures his elbow. Carr is already better and his ceiling is sky high.

Our defensive interior has been really solid in the playoffs even with all the injuries lol. I get you’re going to die on this hill and that’s fine, but you’re clearly being almost intentionally obtuse.

Dawson IMO is a better get than Shaw. He has some actual production to his name as a disruptive slightly larger version of a Howard Cross type player. and actually has 10 pounds on Mills too. We need some guys to take the next step in development, and adding another guy would be awesome but having Dawson at 305 and Rubio at 315 would be the biggest interior we have had in a while.

There are two guys who are obsessed with it and it is insane. The staff has done great in the portal and recruiting probably because they are much better at scouting than we are. I didn't see people banging the drum losing it for Jordan Clark and he's been outstanding all year. They know what they are doing

Only way to get a true “plug and play” DT is to tamper with someone like Dontay Corleone (Cincinnati) and drop a gigantic bag. Those Group of 5 or second tier “Power 4” guys that project as late NFL draft picks are who you have to get and there are not a lot of them.
