KVA and Spindler are listed as questionable. However, previous players listed as questionable did not play.
Exactly. Calling out obvious facts/trends isn’t “woe is me”. The beat writers are far from “woe is me” yet they acknowledge that this is a huge loss for ND at the absolute worst time. UGA’s G/C/G are stout especially when you compare their size to Cross & Hinish.

I think we all know ND can win this game but to think the loss of Mills doesn’t disadvantage ND is naive. Put it this way, if UGA could have Beck at full strength provided ND could have Mills at full strength, I’d take that all day long & be expecting an ND win.

The ND team has been we played in a big game. Last night was a regular season home game for them.

They are traveling to a neutral site with a team that is more talented and built to grind you down.

I have a feeling they do make mistakes and they do look slow.

This is essentially a big stage game and I don’t think Freeman and that all white team is ready

34-13 Dawgs

Not sure if I did this right. Hopefully I did. A Georgia fans thoughts on ND and the game. Oh and when did ND become an all white team? If anyone can clean dis up foh me. Post a better link. TYIA
What fuckin' country are you from? You definitely only dabble with the English language. Let me guess, you're an illegal from the mid-east!

Eh I disagree. The drop off of Beck to Stockton might be masssive. Atleast we know Rubio is solid against the run, and Georgia is going to want to run the ball.

Beck has been meh this year, but I think some of that is what is around him. When hes on he is really good and makes really good throws

  • A more interesting analysis would be UGA's run game in the first half vs the second half against Texas. IMO that could give more insight than the numbers amassed during the regular season.
Here's what UGA's rushing stats look like from the SEC Championship game with Beck under center in the first half and with Stockton in the second:

1st half (sack yds removed):
  • Etienne - 4 att for 4 yds (1.0 ypc)
  • Frazier - 1 att for 5 yds (5.0 ypc)
  • Beck - 1 att for 0 yds (0.0 ypc)
2nd half (sack yds removed):
  • Etienne - 12 att for 90 yds (7.5 ypc)
  • Frazier - 5 att for 42 yds (8.4 ypc)
  • Stockton - 6 att for 27 yds (4.5 ypc)

I just started this for my own curiosity so sharing in case anyone finds it interesting. I looked at ND's most notable opponents against the metrics I think tell the best picture, Points Per game, Yards Per game, Yards Per Rush, Yards per Pass. Did this for both offense and defense. Added "last 3 games" with a note of where Georgia would rank if we only looked at their last 3 games. I'm sure I fat fingered a few times.

Bumping this. Do we go air raid? Look at those recent yards given and passing yards given up by GA. I am hoping this is Denbrock's time to shine. Others may feel otherwise, but I havent been that impressed with him this year. We've had a lot of points but that's riding on superstar RBs and an OL that's gotten better and better. I want to see the Denbrock coming out party on the 1st.

Hopefully they come out wide open, but I'm expecting ultra conservative playing not to make a mistake and hoping the first time starter on the other side does.

Good data to consider. It probably still doesn’t tell the whole story unfortunately. First off, Texas obviously didn’t have any film of Stockton. Also, at first glance I would assume they were able to sustain drives more consistently with him being a run threat. Their attempts tripled. If I’m Golden I make Stockton beat me Etienne has serious speed. You can’t let him get in the open field because you’re worried about Stockton getting 4 yards. I suspect we will see a lot of safety play close to the line of scrimmage and taking our chances on the outside. It worked well against Indiana.

No doubt.... I'm optimistic because well.... I'm almost 60. Me and @Old Man Mike are a bit 'long in the tooth' and I'm sure he still believes as I do that Defense can still win championships... I know the game has flipped, don't get me wrong. But, if the Irish D can keep up their play as they have and get a turnover or two.....

I believe the Irish have the best overall D in the current playoff bracket standings.
Hell I'm even longer. 64. But, yes this defense has done some amazing things already this season. They got 1 more in em.

In his defense, back when this was a proper board, we used the italics fonts for such things 🤠
Thanks for that answer.

Yeah St. Thomas Virgin Islands is a country 🙄. And your reading compression is really awful to say the least. Next time read the whole damn post. Let it marinate. Then respond accordingly. But in the mean time boy go suck yo muddah.

Christian Miller, one of their best run stuffers, back and practice and expected to play, per the Tim Prister crossover podcast. He didn't play in SEC title game. So that's exciting.

The key to winning this game is not changing what you have done or going away from your strengths trying to get too cute. We are a power running team with a mobile QB that thrives when we keep things within 15 yds and simple. That is our strength.

Make UGA beat you at your strength. If spreading it out and going air raid was our strength and gave us the best chance to win games we would have been doing it all year…trying to win games. You dont not do something all year long them come out and try it in the biggest game of the past 3-4 years against the best team you have played all season.

Same thing on defense…do what you have done well all year long. Obviously you throw a wrinkle in here and there to try to generate a drive stopping negative play or create a TO, but dont go altering what your guys have practiced and executed all year.

I imagine our coaches understand this and will play good on good football and rely on our good being better than their good. It will be frustrating to watch some stalled drives, and some 3 and outs where it looks like they arent being “creative”, but the goal is to make this a 4 quarter football game and trust your guys to execute and make the plays needed to win the game.

I agree.

My big concern is if we fall behind by two scores. We then can’t be what we’ve been, and I’m not sure we can be the team who rallies to come from behind.

Agree, it doesn't give too much predictive insight, however it does suggest caution when analyzing the rushing statistics from the rest of the season.

No. No you don't. I'm not chirping on anyone. Definitely not a keyboard warrior. Just thought you were getting on a fellow poster. I have no problem with you or anyone else. Just trying to have the back of a fellow. You too will be my age someday hopefully lol. We don't know each other. If we did we'd probably be friends. Anyhoo, go Irish

It's all good. Ignorance is cured by self-reflection which is on the responsibility of the ignorant person to initiate and follow-through on. I understood what you were saying initially without you quoting the comments of a Georgia fan. All this other shit from posters about you not speaking English properly, being middle eastern, gay, or whatever the fuck jokery is absolutely unnecessary and hopefully done with from here on out. I'm not a mod, but hopefully the mods have taken note of it.

But back to your point, Georgia fans will be Georgia fans. They aren't all annoying like Ohio State fans, but quite a few of them have nothing good to say, like the person you quoted. ND just has to play ND ball and we have as good a shot as any. But yeah, we gotta earn it. Shutting up the critics is not the mission. There's too much money involved for the opposition. The critics just move the goalposts.

We do all this for us. 🍀
Just trying to have the back of an Irish fan. Call me what you want. ☘️

None of us are perfect, least of all me. Not casting stones, but Islandboi has been a chill dude since he's been posting (as have you, btw). So we can put the ugliness aside and set our sights on some bulldawgs. We're all in this Irish brotherhood.
I tried to apologize somewhat. But I'll always have the back of my Irish brothers

ND certainly has the corners to man up and dedicate more bodies to the box. UGA doesn't have a true X WR this year which has forced playing other guys out of position, and the result has been mid at best.

If I had to make a prediction, I'd guess UGA comes out in a lot of 12 personnel in an attempt to force LB's into coverage instead of relying on the WR's to create separation against a very good secondary. Combine that with some heavy play action, and it can be an effective counter to an aggressive stacking of the box.

Yep, anyone expecting to see some big changes on either side will be disappointed. You dance with the girl you brought to the dance. What you can expect on offense is a change up here and there to catch UGA off guard.
