I would not bring Peyton in. I see him as bad for team chemistry which is maybe as important as 5 stars these days.
Agree 100%. If he spurned ND once, there could have been a road back. But not now.

Its not just the coaching staff that would need to accept him. I'm pretty sure the other members of his recruiting class probably want nothing to do with him anymore either.

IF there was legit interest from both sides, it wouldn't take much to simply ask the '23 players if they were ok with inviting Bowen back.

I'd take him because that would likely mean Eli would come with him. But that's not happening so it's meaningless, IMO.

Peyton Bowen is trash, I'd take the kid from Purdue 100 times out of 100 times over him. It's amazing how ND was upset when we lost Bowen, Keeley and Moore. How funny is it to look back now! 3 insignificant college football players.
I would imagine he would rather play in the CFB playoff than Lockheed Martin Armed Forces bowl. At 6-6 Oklahoma is probably just happy to be invited to play Navy.

If we’re talking OU, the obvious take is Deland’s son
This. I looked to see if he had any visits lined up and didn't find anything. He has chosen three other schools so I'm not optimistic but would love the addition

I guess I'm going to have to start taking screen shots of the transfer portal thread as they appear.

Brevard is visiting Texas
Silver has a final four-Mich-Mia-Florida-USC
Shaw- Not a graduate and with the UNC academic thing, doubt he passes admin
Thompson- Visiting Illinois and A&M

So probably the Tulane guy. Haven't seen any visits just interest and after the tweet removed ND from the offers, probably means he's the most likely on that list. Just saw on his LinkedIn he's majoring in Business Management so...

Could’ve sworn I heard one of the talking heads on an II YouTube video say something along the lines of, “so who does Notre Dame get besides Parker Peterson(sp).” He might be in the bag already
He’s a nice start but we need to land a big impact DT not a guy who is comparable to Hinish

Prister basically said they need a top-tier DT, someone as good as Gabriel Rubio, and then someone not as good as Rubio who can be in the 2-deep. He thinks the Tulane DT is someone not as good as Rubio, so they'd need 2 better DT's than him, if he is in fact coming to ND.

Regardless of what DT's ND brings in this offseason, next year might be a put-up or shut-up on the recruiting trail for Al Washington. Prister has called out his recruiting multiple times over the last few weeks, and he's right. The DT recruiting has been below average, to put it kindly. He needs multiple DT's that can be ready to play and have size. No more projects and no more 250-ish pound tweeners that they hope to put 40 pounds on so they can maybe play 3 years down the line.

I’m guessing they take 3 but Hinish is a pretty productive DT for being undersized he’s a good backup. You would thing Armem and Selvanio can get 10-12 snaps a game next year

Freeman said recently that Onye is welcomed back when or if he wants to. Apparently he's still dealing with personal stuff. Not sure if it's just coach speak though.

We need him now. I just think he’s gone unless it was some unknown suspension that’s made him miss time. Hope the best either way for him. He brought the energy

If I'm not mistaken, in the same II pod OMalley basically said something along the lines of "when Onye was still in the plans for next year"... Insinuating that he is no longer in the plans.

Someone can correct me if I heard wrong.

Sounds like currently the DTs for next year are Hinish.

I don’t recall that he said it that way but I definitely remember getting the impression that Onye’s status is up in the air. If I get a chance, I’ll try to listen again tomorrow to that part.
