Oh man, it's great IMO. I'd love to hear your opinion on it as a visiting fan after the game.I have not. It does look a little nicer on TV than what it used to be for sure

That is reserved for kickoffs - but maybe we all should be doing it more since one IU fan thinks IU is the best team in the state after drubbing one of the worst FCS teams in a decade. Of course, the only reason IU played Western Illinois is because they paid Louisville 1 million to get off their schedule and replaced them with WIU.
I may or may not be on that board also 😉Go to their board. I promise you the self-imposed slander is waaaay worse.
They also ran the ball 40 times and completely gave up in the game. Not sure why you would run the ball 3 times in a row and punt in the 3rd quarter if you were trying to win and not just run the clock out.
As long as you aren't Bobbyk you have a friend in me!I may or may not be on that board also 😉
No doubt. Truly one of the worst FCS teams in the past 5 years or so.Western Illinois is uniquely bad among scholarship/non-HBCU FCS teams. 15 years ago that would have been a nice tune up game for a B1G school.
NDSU lost our homecoming to them my freshman year (2010). Used to be tough! No doubt. Truly one of the worst FCS teams in the past 5 years or so.
I'm going off memory here, but they only have something like 4 wins the last 5 years...something to that tune.
They are having massive schooling/financial issues right now at WIU. So that is likely part of the culprit.NDSU lost our homecoming to them my freshman year (2010). Used to be tough!

If somehow ND's offense scored 2 points, then yes.didn’t Western IL’s offense score more points (one…lol) than ND’s offense?
It's not bad. They sell 25oz cans for $8-$9. Not sure on the other alcohol prices but they have quite a selection.whats the beer prices looking like in game?
Its nice not to have to sober up during the game
Of course asking for a friend
I'm surprised ND hasn't started selling alcohol. A lot of the problems administrations think will happen really don't, and I live in one of the most binge drinking happy states out there. It's not bad. They sell 25oz cans for $8-$9. So - not a bad deal at all in the grand scheme of things.
Personally, I have not run into anyone who has gone completely over the line or anything. Yeah, some college kids get drunk and are out of it but from what I've seen they've had friends who have made sure they get out fine. I sit in a group that doesn't really drink much and I sure as heck am not drinking more than 4-5 when I have to drive home after the game.I'm surprised ND hasn't started selling alcohol. I think the college kids going over their limit is a result of tailgating rather than drinking in the stadium (unless they snuck something in).Personally, I have not run into anyone who has gone completely over the line or anything. Yeah, I agree. The beer lines are always full of college kids where I get my beer but you're right. 75%-90% of their consumption is outside of the stadium.I think the college kids going over their limit is a result of tailgating rather than drinking in the stadium (unless they snuck something in).
I know a couple USAFA guys who got paid to go to Purdue and get their masters in engineering. Sounds like it is a fun college town.
For a minute, I thought you were talking about Freeman, not Walters.Personally, I feel very good about it. It seems like the players are more locked in than under Brohm and I believe that he will show to be a better recruiter over time. He's a young energetic guy who is getting his feet under him still but has already shown signals of maturity such as taking over the defensive playcalling midway through last year, moving the OC/DC into the box, etc.
The program is definitely better in Year 2 than in Year 1. Will that equate to more than 4 wins this year? Maybe, maybe not...but the team is 100% better than last year.
I'll be there with my son as well. He's a Purdue grad. He typically roots for the Irish, but may be tempted to root for the Boilers this time.I'll be at the game with my son who is a jr at Purdue. Hopefully I'm within ear shot of Freeman to yell Leonard sucks...angelli time
The Breakfast Club is a Boilermaker tradition.Yeah, I agree. The beer lines are always full of college kids where I get my beer but you're right. 75%-90% of their consumption is outside of the stadium.
Hell....I may be tempted to root for them too. Hudson Card was my qb want from the portalI'll be there with my son as well. He's a Purdue grad. He typically roots for the Irish, but may be tempted to root for the Boilers this time.
Stand up and wave your hand at the end of the first quarter so I can spot you. lolHell....I may be tempted to root for them too. Hudson Card was my qb want from the portal
They are friends and are very similar I think in terms of early career. For a minute, I thought you were talking about Freeman, not Walters.
Welcome to the board.
If anything, we could use some extra cheers against IU and Illinois.Hell....I may be tempted to root for them too. Hudson Card was my qb want from the portal
Enjoy!I'll be there with my son as well. He's a Purdue grad. He typically roots for the Irish, but may be tempted to root for the Boilers this time.
Truth. Down to 6300 students I heard.I went to high school there. There is nothing going on in Macomb.
Isn’t Axl Rose from WL?Hey all!
I usually drop into opposing team territory the week before a game and answer any questions an opposing fan may have about Purdue in an unbiased manner (former media member)! Looking forward to the game and should be a game where both teams can really see where they stand this year.
Fire away if you have any questions about the Boilermakers this year or the WL area (gameday, restaurants, parking, etc.) if you’re coming to visit!
Yes - he doesn't have much of a connection to the city. Hasn't been around. Walters tweeted at him earlier this year to stop by to no avail.Isn’t Axl Rose from WL?
Is he a Purdue fan?
Last great rock band.
He’s actually from Lafayette, not WL……I saw him at a couple of parties there around 1980-82 when he was still William Bailey. Never really interacted with him but knew exactly who he was when he started to become famous with G’n’R.Yes - he doesn't have much of a connection to the city. Hasn't been around.
