ok, let me tell you that i'm a Notre Dame fan through and through. with that in mind, let me explain how i met Jarred Holley today. i graduated from the same high school Jarred goes to (classes of 1995). i used to cover the high school football team for the school paper back then. anyway, not that this really matters much, but i'm in a wheelchair and use a ventilator to breathe and i've always admired and respected football players. i didn't know hardly anything about Jarred other than what was in the local newspapers and things like that, but something made me want really meet this guy. not just because he's a great football player, but something told me he was a great person as well. so i emailed one of my old high school teachers, who i've remained friends with since graduating, and asked her if i could meet Jarred. now, my friend doesn't really know Jarred so we didn't know if he'd be even interested in meeting me. right after my friend explained who i was and my situation, Jarred said whatever you need me to do, i'll do. so, last Wednesday my friend was going to come over for a visit and she asked Jarred if he could come too and he said sure, but the people from Pitt were coming later that day, so he wouldn't be able to stay very long. my friend told him that it was much more important to be there for the people from Pitt than visiting me. i was ready impressed that he would even consider trying to fit in a visit with me, someone he doesn't even know, the same day he had an important meeting with people from Pitt. so we rescheduled for today. well, let me tell you Pitt fans are getting one incredible athlete, but an even more amazing person. he's extremely excited about going to Pitt and he has a great chance of playing right away. he did say that if he doesn't start right away, he has no problem redshirting. he said their goal this season is a bowl game and next season a BCS Bowl. lofty expectations, but if Pitt has more people like Jarred Holley on their team, there's no doubt in my mind they'll reach those goals. believe it or not, Notre Dame is a place he was extremely interested in, but he explained that they contacted him a few times and then he never heard from them again. so he had to move on and do what was best for him. i found it disappointing to hear because i think ND missed out on a great, great person. so, i told him that i would cheer for Pitt every game except November 1st when they play ND. he laughed and said ok. i told him i hope he does well, but i gotta pull for the Irish. he said he loved Notre Dame, but he's heard it isn't the same anymore and he was disappointed they didn't recruit him more, but he still has a ton of respect for them. he's really pumped that he may be playing at Notre Dame Stadium as a freshman. anyway, i just wanted to share that with everyone.

Very good story and thank you very much for sharing that with us. It sounds like he's a great person for sure.

I would also say good story, however sentence breaks, capitalization and some more punctuation would aid in easier reading.

My son played Easton football when Holley was just a fresh-
men. He said Holley had a lot of potential and was a
nice kid. In the last two years, the Red Rovers were only
as good as Holley. Holley WAS the team...Tom
