Both Kenneth Page and Will Compton and maybe KPL, Nick Perry or Mike Martin... he seems a bit optimistic...

Actually I said either Compton or Page.

Well here's my exact quote:

"Since Cyrus Gray verbally committed to Texas A&M yesterday, look for the Irish to get either linebacker Will Compton or offensive lineman Kenneth Page to come on board in the next few days. I wouldn't be surpised if Notre Dame lands both, as well as, Kapron Lewis-Moore, Mike Martin, or Nick Perry to the impressive list."

Rivals hasn't reported the Gray commit yet, but Scout says it is true. So I'm not sure what to believe at this point.

I cant wait for NSD, it couldn't get here soon enough if you ask me. Maybe if we get one or two of these remaining guys maybe ESPN will wise up (But I really don't think they will) and see what kind od class CW and they staff is putting together.

If Kyle Rudolph was a USC recruit, ESPN would have him in the top 20.

Rivals has made 2 updates in less then 24 hours on Cyrud Gray and they still don't have him as a A&M commit. At some point yesterday everyone except ND and A&M were dropped to Low status with ND and A&M getting Medium status well they went back sometime today and updated it High for both but the point is they aren't lagging behind they've made there new updates with the new info that they got and can't believe if that he was actually a commit that they would've missed it.

The article on A&M rivals site mentions rumors of a commitment but they put it as he coming closer to the decision.

IMO he has not committed, no one beyond a the Scout A&M site has reported that he committed to A&M or elsewhere and I find it interesting that the main Scout Football recruiting site superprep.com doesn't have there own article up like they usually do, only A&M site has an article or in this case a blurb saying he's an Aggie.

On Cyrus Gray it looks to me that he hasn't committed and while I couldn't repeat what they are saying even if I knew but the innuendo is that he hasn't committed anywhere yet.

Don't you guys think that at this point its basically going to be national signing day that we know on anyone unless they let it leak out from a friend or something?

I mean what's the point of coming out on 1/20 and saying I commit to blahblahblah?

I guess the only real reason I could see it is for someone to think they'll have a day of national press all to themselves...right?

What do you guys think?

It really depends on the player, if you have guys like Terrelle Pryor and Julio Jones committing on signing day, somebody who isnt as well known would be completely overshadowed. Maybe they just want the spotlight and not have to share it or get it completely taken away.

I think part of it also is those who are not the #1 guy for the scholly, or it is an offer where the coach has said, I've got 1 schooly, but 2 or 3 offered first come first served. Kind of like a game of chicken. Unless you are the biggest dog, you might get aced out, so you grab one now. You don't want to be left standing on NSD with no chairs left in a musical chair game.
