His name is Thaddus Brown and he goes to the same HS as Crist and McDonald. I also heard Crist and him are best friends. He is a two-star recruit but he runs a 4.41 forty. He's 5'10 and is thought 2 be a good PR and KR. Not sure if there was a player profile on him, my bad if there was.

I seen this on Blue and Gold. 3 star on scout and 2 star on rivals. The speed sounds good but they have him mostly as a RB.

His was one of the names just thrown out there in speculation by some people that were trying to figure out who the mysterious DB is, if there even is one. As of right now, from what I can tell this doesn't look very likely to happen.

I don't want us throwing out an offer just because he's fast. He's rated as a 2 star for a reason, but if Charlie wants to offer, I trust his judgement.

He was also John David Booty's teammate in HS... Booty was the #1 QB in the nation so i guess they could have over looked him

Justin Forsett was a 2 star recruit, too. We could fill up a thread w/ names of players that were overlooked in high school for myriad reasons. Same goes for those 4-5 star recruits who didn't pan out (Anthony Vernaglia).

If the kid is a true athlete w/ 4.2 speed, ND can find a spot for him. On paper, he doesn't sound much different than a Munir Prince or a George West. Those two didn't pan out...maybe this kid can.

Speed kills and Notre Dame hasn't done much killin' in the last 15 yrs.

Too bad Ty screwed him over because he's short, ND could have used him.

Agreed. Ty said he would have a scholarship waiting for him and he never called him. Justin really wanted to come to ND, it was his dream school. I'm happy for the kid, he was patient behin Lynch and he made the most of his oppurtunity last season.

Just saw on the scout site that Thaddeus Brown is in a holding pattern for ND after Prince transferred from ND and opened a possible slot for him. Its a premium site content, so I don't have it, but looks like he will wait until NSD to see if he goes Irish.

He has listed BSU as his1 school as high interest w a scholly and took a trip in Dec, where he said he liked the Blue turf. BSU looks like it will probably be his plan B.
