I love Notre Dame football. I do not know what I'd do without it. I wish ppl would stop crying over Trattou. We are still going to have a legit team for years 2 come. This offense is going to be the best NDnation has seen in years. The D will come, can't we just be satisfied with what Charlie has done. He recruits as hard if not harder than any coach in the nation, he loves ND, and he takes chances. He doesn't coach scared like many CFB coaches do. He got the top QB in the nation right from under Poodle and SC's nose and he stole in my opinion the Reggie Bush of this class in Armando Allen. I don't care if our D gives up 600 yards a game, at least now it will be agressive and try to make things happen under CB.

I think 2007 will be very exciting for Irish fans. It will be fun to see some of Charlie's recruits grow into Brown's system on D. After that first big signature performance on D, I'm going to watch Charlie's first presser when he talked about us having a 'nasty' team about 5,000 times. It's about that time.

Go Irish! Beat Jackets!

will we finish 10-2? doubt it. but i do think that this will be a really interesting year for the irish. the offense will struggle early, but i think they will make some major progress as the year goes on. i also think the defense will be a serious transition this year and could make or break a .500 season. i have confidense that we will be okay and play strong in most of the games.

it will be fun to watch that is for sure.

very well put C2K, i cant wait till the season starts no matter what happened in the off-season with recruiting. i think ND will be good....in 2-3 years. we just got to be patient.

I think this is a year for real fans ,fans who really love ND . The season is going to be about development and position wars. The media is going to kill ND for their lazy schedule no matter what and with a new QB and new team the expectations will be low. Any amount of winning will be a good time for all of us posters posting in the middle of January when a normal football fan would be talking Superbowl. This could actually be the most fun season in recent years because if they do go far and do very well no one will have seen it coming and we will have suprise as well as pride.

I really don't think we're going to 'struggle' on offense right out of the gate. I think next years team will be an unpredictable one for opposing defenses to prepare for, as we will have a QB that can play the 'fun and gun' offense we have seen in Charlie's first two seasons, as well as a stable of RB options that will allow us to play ground and pound (or perhaps flash and dash?). After seeing RB's like Peterson and Clarett make huge impacts in their freshman seasons, I'm not opposed to thinking Allen and Hughes couldn't create that same excitement/impact at ND.

I PREDICT...no embarrassing losses in '07.

I like the attitude. Weis has shown to be innovative and not afraid to take chances. Holtz is much loved, but I thought that we sat on the ball way too much at the time, and were too one-diminsional. I think if CB becomes aggressive on defense as much as our offense is at times, the so-called lack of talent we have will be fine. I'm convinced a new scheme along with some smarts and toughness is much needed. (Weis thinks the same I'm sure).
