I agree - self-reflection and growth is key here. Hopefully he can continue to do both.
My main concern is how long it took for him to grow in instances. For example, when it came to running more PA, it took weeks of complaints and an absolute masterclass in squandering 4Q drives against Clemson to adapt. Happy we finally did adapt, but it was too little too late. In all honestly, our offense was in the slums for four straight against OSU-Duke-Louisville-USC. 5/6 if you go two games further and include Pitt + Clemson.
What happens when we have some other deficiency next year? Will it take several games to figure it out? When you have a guy learning on the job, you need to be able to learn and react fast as the landscape changes. Next team’s ND team will be a totally different makeup, and my main concern is Parker won’t be able to react fast enough.
