I can not be happier that we got D-Walk! I was a little worried that G-Rob would commit and Deion would decide to play for Joe Pa. With the youth in the Irish receiving corps, we really needed to focus on more polished wideouts. Kamara and Tate will probably be quality receivers, but Floyd, Walker and Goodman give us three players who could help on the field sooner rather than later.

Tate could end up being a really good receiver, or end up being the next West. I think next year is make it or break it for him. Pretty soon, he's gonna get passed up unless he steps up quickly.

cut Tate some slack, it takes a long time to learn Weis' offense. Tate reminds me of Teddy Ginn Jin

I think there is room for all of these receivers in the line-up. I see kamara and walker/floyd on the outside with tate and walker/floyd in the slots in a 4-wide set. With all of these weapons weis will be able to do a lot of things with the offense. Watching LSU splitting 4 and 5 out wide against Ohio State I couldn't help but think that is gonna be ND (only ND will be even better) very soon. Ohio State's defense couldn't contain all of those skill players and I have a feeling that there are gonna be a lot of defenses having the same trouble with ND. Especially when you mix a 6'6" TE, a 6'8" TE, and a stable of RBs into the equation.

I don't think Tate is another Ginn because Ginn couldn't take a hit if his NFL career depended on it. However, I think Tate is going to be incredible, even if it means he's not playing receiver much.

Good point. Those LSU receivers made that very average LSU quarterback look good. I dont know how many times I thought Flynn had overthrown a receiver and then at the last second the receivers made great plays to get seperation or go up and get the ball. It was incredible watching that receiving corps last night. If the title game proved anything, it's that you can't have too many receivers/runningbacks and that there are plenty... no, infinite amounts of ways to get the ball into everyones hands.

This is a great problem to have because it's not a problem at all. Every week there will be mismatches to exploit and different personel to use.

Espnu- D-walker Summary

Espnu- D-walker Summary

There are a few other notable offensive skill prospects that saw their stock go down somewhat in the updated ESPN 150. WR Deion Walker (Christchurch, Va.) never had a chance to get going in Orlando due to a knee injury, but even on his first few days of practice we noticed his listed measurables did not quite add up and the talent at defensive back exposed some of his weaknesses

Don't really care what espn so called recruiting experts say. All game they kept talking about how the sec and acc teams had the best recruiting classes coming in. I wouldn't worry to much about what they think.

They have Kyle Rudolph rated as the 7th best TE. That should tell you all you need to know.

i am excited to see walker but i am ecstatic to see floyd. got to see him play in the all american bowl and he was fantastic. whats even better, one of the touchdowns he had, he scorched a future mich. cornerback.lol sweet. this kid is gonna be really good i think. and nobody should get worked up about anything that anyone from espn says. i mean anyone who would give mark may a job and keep letting him make predictions can't be a credible sports authority.

Its funny that we see the same treatment over and over again (ND haters), but we are still pissed off and surprised by it. I think it is a human trait to think dickheads will actually change there ways and be reasonable and agree with us.

how does he go from the #4 WR to not even in the top 100. Originally i thought it was because he got injured in the UAA game but he was injured most of the year, anymore guesses?

Well, it's been almost 4 weeks since he committed and I recall there was a little bit of uncertainty about whether or not he was going to look around. With NSD a week away, Im curious as to what the deal is. Is he still 100% Irish?

I hate nsd surprises.

I think if he was going to visit by now we would've heard rumblings. I think his dad talked some sense into him.
