That's an understatement. Great point. TDs were automatic last season once the opponent got into the red zone.

I just struggle with the absolute absurd ups and downs this year.

The defense had a great game, yes the aggression by the corners occasionally cost us and you still see occasional bad lanes taken when chasing, but damn overall it was fun to see the defense play with such passion. Just like with OSU we showed talent matching talent.

On the offense, I still question some play calling and shook my head every time they used that bunched formation with ends stacked tight. I also again accept freshman drop passes. Though they did enough when asked.

Shout out to Clarence Lewis, Harper, and Henderson too. They played a LOT and didn't give up much to a bunch of 5 star WRs and Pat Mchomes. They'll never be good enough to get all the attention but they certainly stepped up tonight.

Drops happen and teams still have 400 yards of offense on shitty defenses. Drops are not unique to ND (and no one catches Ricos).
