How is no one also (or, not many, I don’t have time to read every single post in this thread) talking about the fact that a FG only puts us up by 2 with 30+ seconds to go.

Success rate of going for FG vs TD aside (I absolutely did not trust Shrader and would rather have put the game in Hartman’s hands), TD+2 puts us up by 7, TD failed 2 still means Duke needs a TD, where a FG gives Duke a shot to drive 40-50 yards in 30 seconds and kick a game winning FG.

Going for TD is absolutely the right call. Happy Estime broke the long run, but going into that play there’s a decent enough chance we go run-run-run and lose the game off a Shrader kick. Happy people are questioning the decision.

The FG would have been as time expired or less than 10 seconds, not with 30+ seconds left. Thats why nobody is talking about it.

Duke still had 3 timeouts and we snapped the ball to Estime with 38 seconds left. 30+ sec left may have been a stretch, but if we go 3 and out Duke gets 20s to 30s left to operate.

Definitely more than less than 10 seconds.

Yo wtf. Right after the Evans catch at like 1:03, why does it look like they pasted a guys head on a kids body or something? Am I losing it? It looks even weirder in the real video.

It looks like an AI creation with the man-child, the guy nervously eating popcorn, and just the generic cheering by the fans!

I was sure that if we got into FG range, that Schrader would miss it.

I think whoever edited this video thought it would be funny to sneak their buddies head into the video somewhere.

Dumbass. Just roll around in being a cruel pos like a pig in shit. What a cool way to be.
Geez that’s a lot of hate. I’ve got nothing against midgets, he seems like a cool dude. Hell my cousin is a midget. I’m even a midget in certain places.

Freeman did, but from a little different perspective. He said he would’ve liked for Audric to stop at the 1 so they could run down the clock to only a couple seconds, then kick a FG with no time left. Still not sure I agree with that thought process though. I’d take the points and +\- 30 secs to force them to score a TD to win. With the way Schrader has kicked this season and the chance that something could get screwed up in the final seconds to cost you a game (sounds kinda familiar….), I wouldn’t take that risk.

Lol who the heck analyzes a video in that detail? I would have never caught that.

Any chance he graduates at the end of the year as a Junior? He would certainly qualify academically.
Not sure. I heard a rumor that he talked to Hartman about what it’s like at ND. Could be bs obviously. But they were talking about it on Always Irish podcast today.

Riley leonard if he comes back and plays well most likely goes pro, only shot we have or anyone has at him IMO is if the injury is season ending (sounds like it's not) and he thinks it hurts his draft stock if he doesn't come back

Well, if he's not heading to the draft next year you would figure he's transferring. No way Elko is at Duke in 2024.

I'm all about the Tulane QB whose name is escaping me, but after seeing Leonard, would absolutely be happy to take him given Duke background.
