We just lost to the 4th ranked team in the country with no time left. A couple of head scratchers with play calling but also some opportunities to make plays by guys in position that they didn’t make. Proud as hell of these kids and the sun will rise tomorrow. Fully expect the resident bitches to tee off on everything but have some perspective. I don’t give a shit what OSU does against Michigan. There’s a lot of talent on that team and our guys went toe to toe. Go Irish!!!

Most of the team played hard. The coaching under 4 mins in the 4th was Mac level.

I thought the Oline was tremendous. The effort was tremendous. The crowd was tremendous. Hartman same.
We should win most of our games (bar USC) from here via the run but I fear backing up against Duke.

Lmao this has been the story for the last decade plus. Yea we got Oklahoma and Clemsonbut thats fucking it out of like 20 times.

ND: we will play you tough and give you the highlight of your season, make sure ESPN or whatever network it is gets their money worth….. unless of course it’s post season and we get bent by 40+.

Guys come to Notre Dame for better coaching than this.

I hope that Freeman goes onto greatness and I forget this ever happened. But hiring his buddy as a Rookie OC for Hartman’s lone year at ND. Is going to take me sometime to get over.

Why didn’t the HEAD coach say no we are gonna run the ball? He is responsible for this as well

In all likelihood, this is the weakest team and weakest starting QB that OSU will have for a while. And we couldn’t beat them. Barf.
that's what's tough about this one. we knew we had a shot. i'll be less disappointed if we lose to sc. we really need to beat clemson. need to win 10 games this year.

I'm tired of moral victories.

Moral victories don't put championship t-shirts in my closet.

The coaches let the players down tonight.

If MFMF is struggling with smacking his coordinators upside the head and saying stop being stupid then maybe we need a special assistant to the head coach to smack MFMF upside the head and tell him to tell his coordinators to stop being stupid.

I'm glad some of the young bucks showed out.

I have given up. Straight up I have given up on us ever actually competing for anything in my lifetime. We simply do not have what it takes.

A couple weeks ago I literally attempted to kill myself. I had the rope around my neck and was checking for structural integrity. I literally put it off partly because I thought that I wanted to get through football season. Even in my darkest moment, I had the hope that we might do something. This team literally gave me life.

But that is gone.

We will never win another championship. We probably won't break our NY6 streak before that term literally doesn't mean anything anymore. We will never be anything other than what all our critics say we are. That was proven before the game when we let yet another team paint our stands. The game just solidified it.

Hopefully I find something else to keep me on this earth before my next breakdown, but that thing will definitely no longer be Notre Dame.
Bro please talk to someone. Immediately. This is bigger than a football game. You need to take care of yourself.

1. Dropped three easy INTs, missed a field goal, bungled two 4th and shorts. Can’t do that against a gods team. But you especially can’t have 10 guys on the field for the last play of the game.

2. Defense overall played well enough to win. JD Bertrand was mostly responsible for their two TDs… one for blowing a run fit, the other for covering literally no one on 3rd and 19.

3. I thought Lou Holtz’s statement crossed a line and hearing Ryan Day talk after the game I am 100% sure that it was stupid as hell to call a team “soft” before a huge game like this.

4. Offensive game plan was pretty dumb at times. Moved the ball on most drives but it took until the second half to commit to the run and that’s when ND started scoring points. The first three 4th and short calls all had issues. In general, 14 points isn’t going to get it done, but having only 7 real possessions in a game is also kinda crazy.

5. Duke plus the points is going to be the easiest bet of the year because that game is going to be a massive hangover for ND.

It wasn't the play call Henderson was literally halfway in the end zone it was terrible play by him....sometimes players make plays osu had that ND didn't when it counted

Our fears are playing out right in front of us. Would’ve been worse if the RB room didn’t turn it up a notch. Not running the ball to force OsU to take their timeouts cost us the game. Game is over with that 10- second runoff.

Golden’s defense is bleh. It was clear MHJ wasn’t 100% but leaves BenMo on him while Emeka tore up Thomas Harper. There’s a point where you say screw it and just match up best on best. Blitz calling was generally ill-timed and for whatever reason, he loves delay blitzes.

I honestly can’t understand why dropping 8 is considered a bad play call on 3rd and 19. Makes total sense to me. The problem for me was the execution.

McCord struggled with bodies around him all night.

I don’t think you blitz 8, but why not stay in base D that’s been effective all night?

I never want to see the green jerseys again until ND can prove they can win these kinds of games consistently.

JD’s pass interference on Henderson too.

This isn’t a moral victory. OSU is not very good.

In his defense he tried to get the guy from Utah but Notre Dame cried poor and wouldn’t pay up. He got the message from Jack and the gang that a “National search” meant looking around the Gug.
