Yeah, but over that last decade or so, they have gained a lot more influence in the GOP.

MTG believes in Jewish space lasers and she is also on the NDAA reconciliation committee.

Look at how the Democratic Party has not embraced RFK Jr and his crazy ideas.
Assuming that stuff is true, it doesn't impact you or national policy. Her crazy theories didn't bring us $5 gallon gas prices and 8% inflation.

You could replace Trump with any politician ever. Blind loyalty to any politician is ignorance. But at the same time there is a means to getting what you want. Trump winning in 2016 served its purpose for a variety reasons. I’d rather have Trump than Biden or even Hilary. My loyalty is to the values the party represents.
What are these “values” that the party represents?

Pro life… national security… family values… strengthening the country by hiring based on merit not checking a minority box…. those sort of things.

I’ll ask you the same.

So character doesn't matter to you?

I've always thought this one is interesting. NO.

Wasn't Joe supposed to be the return of principled norms and decency? Now we have cocaine and topless trannies in the White House and
the expense of his long list of policy blunders, border neglect, extreme appointments, bad judges, and costly executive orders.

I don't need the politician I could have a beer with. They don't need to look like me. They don't even need to be that relatable.

I want someone who can keep the country safe and secure, pay the bills, not spend like a sailor on port calls, provide energy security, and put the most competent folks in the right positions to make policy choices. I don't care if I personally like them. I can't assess character from where I sit. Recall even Mitt Romney was slammed by dems and the press for being a terrible person, and folks will slam whoever the R nominee is being the antichrist.

I have found that the anti vaccines stance has been around well before Covid and crosses every kind of line and boundary: regional, political, race, ethnic, gender, religious, etc.

The only thing more ridiculous is that people keep electing her in primaries let alone general elections.

Find me someone shouting about "term limits!" and I'll find you three lazy twats that either don't vote in primaries or vote in primaries for the same wrinkled ass crypt keeper every damn time.

At some point, "We the People" should take some responsibility at the ballot box.

If Biden believed our first moon landing was fake but our economy mirrored 2018-2019 instead of what we've seen over the past two years, I wouldn't give a damn.
But that isn't the case and we have plenty of examples of how that type of stupidity can impact larger decision making.

Like saying a state is in danger of a hurricane when it's not. Even altering a map with a sharpie to try and still be correct.

A single issue voter who's solely looking at the economy would not vote for Trump in 2024. They would have voted for Hillary in 2016 as well, on the back of Obama's recovery from the Bush disaster. Al Gore would have won in 2000 if it was based on the economy after being Clinton's VP with his historic success. Voting Republican is not a vote for the economy.

I assume you think Bush caused the housing mess just like you probably think COVID was caused by Trump as your post seems to assume.

Bush was a much much worse president than Trump, like 1000x worse. Trump gave the world COVID vaccines and didn't destabilize entire areas of the world. Bill Clinton held the gasoline with FSMA and Bush took a flamethrower with his tax cuts and lack of any sort of financial regulation as HH debt grew and MBS' went wild.

Trump is a joke, Bush was a travesty.

Deregulating banks was a train started by Mr Clinton and widely supported by both sides of the isle. Bush’s failures was more inaction than his actions. Bush wanted more oversight for the Freddie Macs and Fannie Maes in the early 2000’s but it obviously wasn’t enough. I don’t think anyone saw what was coming to the extent it came until it was too late.

Yes, thank you for summarizing my post.

A ton of people saw it coming lol. Similar to the impending crash that will come from student loan debt.

"I make my mortgage payments, so those that don't, that's on them." "Why should we regulate the banking sector? They're in it to make money, so who am I to decide what they do?" "Mortgage backed securities are just like mutual funds, just different securities!"

*flash forward to 2007*

Oh shit, who could have seen this coming?!?!

I don’t think it was that obvious what the “it” was that was coming. Like I stated I think bush saw banks needed regulated but didn’t do enough or couldn’t get the support to do so… the nature of politics.

You summarized your own post by bashing Trump and Bush at the end of that post forgetting Clinton predated Bush and has some culpability, example being the exemption of credit default swaps. And then Community Reinvestment Act pressuring banks to lend more to low income areas.

lulwut? I gave Trump credit for the vaccines, and not wiping out the middle east like Bush did. Re-read my post before you get all hot and bothered. I said Trump was better than Bush ffs.

I think you need to take a closer look at see the words "Bill Clinton" in my post and tell me if I let him off easily. You guys get so worked up at my posts that you don't even take a second to read what I wrote lmao.

Maybe this very quick summary will help you digest it better.

Bill Clinton (president before GWB) - did a bad thing with the FSMA. Dem president bad thing! This contributed to recession, bad!

GWB (president after Clinton) - did bad things with adding tax cuts on top of not regulating MBS (mortgage backed securities). This is also bad!

Was that easier?

You’re such a condescending ass…

I said you summarized… ended your post bashing the two… do you need a handy or some sort of validation that you mentioned Clinton? Yeesh. This smartest guy in the room bullshit gets old. No wonder you are single and bash sex trafficking movies.

You said I forgot Clinton lmao. When you frame me as thinking "I assume you think Bush caused the housing mess just like you probably think COVID was caused by Trump as your post seems to assume." should I just take that and roll with it? My goodness, you roll out comments like that and expect me not to respond condescendingly lol.

Not single buddy. Movies are subjective, but the lead actor being affiliated with QAnon is objectively true.

The conversation is economy. You stated “Obamas recovery from Bush’s disaster”. I’m simply saying this was a lot to do about and probably more to about Clinton’s policies. I’ll also add any next president after Bush had nowhere to go but up. He didn’t invent the wheel, he just benefited from time.

While your post does “mention” Clinton you concluded that post with Bush/Trump bad, forgetting Clinton in your concluding statement.

I think you assume my tone is different than it is/was. I’m not over shaking my neck and waving my finger like you seem to be.

I feel sorry for the man you are dating.

You missed the point. I'm not bothered by a government official's conspiracy theories or wacky beliefs until that directly impacts me or my family. Conspiracy theorists come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and political parties. It was just a weak post by seekndestroy.

1) Are you saying Americans are happy with gas at $4/ gallon and 6% inflation which is where we are now?

2) Making guesses about Gore in 2000 and Hillary in 2016 is just...guessing. Nothing at all to back that up in the vortex.

3) For being a Canadian, you sure do have the pulse of the average American but quick to disregard any current polling of Americans on their economy.
