Yes, trust the projections. They expected "we forecast will put downward pressure on gasoline crack spreads and retail prices beginning in July." Meanwhile we're in the final few days of July and gas prices are up from June's average. Production only increased out of necessity because Biden couldn't convince OPEC and other countries to increase output. We need to keep pressure on other suppliers to help drive down prices.

So when production was up for 5 - 6 months of record monthly production it was due to policies of President Trump but when production is on pace and projected to be up for record annual production it was necessity and not due to policies of President Biden?

How convenient....

You're trying to compare hard data and projections, they're two different things. We've seen Trump's numbers. His production increased greatly from 8,800 barrels when he took office to 13,000 before the pandemic dropped production slightly. Biden through his first two years didn't get close to Trump's numbers, only recently once OPEC gave him the finger did the numbers start to get close. He still hasn't matched Trump, but you're trusting projections from last month that have already been proven wrong on some points. We'll see I guess.

Tell me, is your family better off over the last 2 1/2 years, or the 4 under the Bad Orange Man?
Lets see an honest answer.

I was far better off under the orange man. My grocery bill, energy bill, insurance rates, crime rate, pistol brace, gas oven, and 13 families who needlessly lost their kid in a botched evacuation all agree.

Trump's economic policies were hilariously bad. Only GWB did a worse job in modern times. If you actually cared about the "deficit" you would never vote Republican. If you wanted better stock market performance you wouldn't vote Republican. Just say you like "drinking lib tears" because economics ain't it.

Just to be clear, we're using inflation rates as a measuring stick? If that's the case, would you say Joe Brandon is currently at the top G7 countries in terms of economic policy?

As well, looking at the inflation rates, do you see the precipitous drop starting in July 2022? What monetary policy would you attribute that to? Surely, some sort of austerity policies from JB lead to that drop right....OR could it be the central banks of US/CA beginning the steep hike of their prime rates to combat inflation?

So fellas, are you now huge Biden fans since he's doing such a tremendous job handling inflation? Remember, we want to attribute all blame to him for inflation so if he's been such a great leader at keeping inflation lower than other G7 countries he must be great, right?

(You're allowed to switch your position to presidents have a pretty negligible impact on inflation in G7/20 countries unless they have used a black swan event to push it one way or another)
I'm gonna avoid the Toronto Vortex and reiterate that Biden's economic policies brought a 40 year record high of inflation and gas prices over $5 per gallon. GoIrish41 thinks this is "positive economic policy." I call it self destructive lunacy.

Republican presidents are demonstrably worse on economic policy.

I guess we’re all just too stupid to see how good we have it right now. Amazing take.

Republicans are trash with budgets, among the worst at managing finances. .

I don't have to post data in this thread. If I posted data it would be a vortex.

I couldn't care less about the deficit. We've been running a deficit every year but 4 since 1970, and we've been in debt since the Revolutionary War. The government doesn't really care about their financial obligations, they only are concerned about my own. To that end...when it comes to economics I'm really only concerned with policy that directly affects my family and others, because I've got enough on my plate as it is and anybody that screws with the balance unfavorably hurts me and my loved ones.

Where does your car come from? Does your bank do business in other countries? Does everything at the grocery store get made locally? Do you live a capitalist society that has access to the global economy?

The wife's car is a Honda built in Greensburg, IN. My pickup was built at the Ford plant in KC. My bank is a small Credit Union, so I doubt they do business with banks in foreign countries. As far as groceries my Kroger has "locally grown" and "locally made" signs all over the place, but you probably can find some stuff made outside of the U.S., but I bet it's very little. I know my Herdez salsa is made in Texas.

Being the best out of the G7 countries is like saying Moe is the best looking of the Three Stooges.

I have no problem being in a party full of the working class that question government.
I have no problem with both of those things, those things are good. What isn't good is the blind loyalty to Trump for a significant chunk of the Republican party when Trump doesn't give two shits about the people that support him let alone the average American.
