I'm a big fan of listening to sports radio stations around the country. Will like some good sports radio shows. Need the station, host and time to listen. Preferably during the afternoon or morning. WFAN - The Fan - Sports Radio 66 Homepage. MIke and the MAD DOG 1pm - 630pm.
Mike is a asshole but it's a good show.

I do listen to talk radio quite often, but not sports radio unless there's a game on.

I love listening to it at work if I can because it makes the day go by so much faster and more enjoyable. I've been listening to it for a long time though. I can still remember when Mike and Mike had just started, and how Golic's rendition of Debbie Renold's Good Morning would always wake me up in the car on the way to school. The first time I heard a report about the news on 9/11/01 was from Golic on Mike and Mike too.

on the dirve home (come on at 530pm local time) in the notre dame area, I listen to 960AM WSBT Sportsbeat...not the greatest show ever, but get mix of National and local (HS, ND, Bears, Colts, IU, PU, Cubs, ChiSox, etc)

I love MLB homeplate on XM radio. If any of you are on the fence about subscribing I have to say, Homeplate alone is worth the $12.95. Charlie Steiner, who is one of my favorites of all time has a three hour show everyday, I absolutely love it!

And you get all the ESPN, FOX Sports and a few other sports stations to flip around to.

I used to love "The Razor and Mr. T" back when i lived in the Bay Area. Back on old KNBR, all giants and 49ers and warriors, all the time. Of course, that was before the niners sucked, the warriors were good, and when Bonds was considered a great player not a major louse. Yep, those were better days.

I agree. Xm sports package is good. Plus they have all the major college conferences locked up also.

XM is the way to go. I like The Herd. Cowherd is an arrogant little shit, but he's usually dead on & he loves college football. I like Steve Czaban, too until he tries to entertain by going off of sports.

I'm not a big NFL fan, so I don't care for most of the national shows. Chris Meyers & the Drive on Fox, Mike & Mike, ESPN SportsNation, Tony Bruno and the like seem to go overboard on the NFL talk...like it's the only sport there is. They'll spend an entire Tues. breaking down a boring MNF game like it's the Super Bowl. Myers, for instance, hasn't a clue about college football. Snore.

I would agree on Cowherd, love his show.

I would not recommend listening to any of the local sports talk shows in chicago or houston, particularly during the drive time hours. They are also local sports stupid (Chicago in particular). When I was back up in Chicago during USC game day, the ESPN affiliate up there was running their "Talkin' Baseball" show instead of the national ESPN gameday show. Bruce Levine and J Hood are talking White Sox free agency for 3 hours 3 weeks after Chicago baseball is done. GAG.

When I was in Atlanta, I enjoyed listening to 790 the Zone. Their Mayhem in the PM, now Mayhem in the AM show was pretty funny and not just stuck on Atlanta sports (they do have some teams down there..really!) Chris Dimino and Nick Cellini are sports talk gold, even though they are a bit full of themselves. They used to do a show just the 2 of them, but Cellini was fired/rehired a few years back and the band was never reunited in its original form. I did think the 2 Live Stews show was garbage, although they have apparently fuond a niche, because now those 2 do spots on ESPN all the time.

There's my sports talk ramble!
