Notre Dame is still looking to add to its 2023 recruiting class. The wide receiver position is one the Fighting Irish staff is targeting to add another weapon on the offensive side of the ball.

Barnes is pretty solid on both sides of the ball. It's another situation where you get him signed and figure it out.

OVs currently scheduled with ND 11/5 for Clemson game and Clemson 11/26 for South Carolina game. Plan is for Oklahoma to get 5th OV, not currently scheduled.

He was at Clemson for Syracuse game 10/23 on unofficial. They are recruiting him as DB/Safety.

UNC, also recruiting him as DB, wanted him to attend Pitt game this weekend but he didn’t go.

Oklahoma is recruiting him as safety and are eyeing 11/19 OV for Bedlam game vs Ok St.

His plan is to commit in Dec on NSD and early enroll.

Clemson way out in front currently and ND only school currently throwing around offense as primary position.

It’s a great question in regards to the athletes on the board. Hillman, Barnes, Smith. Current class at 23 in needs of:
QB, WR, OL/DL, DB

They may go to 28 total.

Barnes, Walters, Bellamy, and Tucker didn’t dress tonight. Schweitzer didn’t either. Riley hasn't made a move yet.

I think it was Sampson on one of the Podcasts who described Barnes as a solid player. Doesn't do anything exceptionally excellent but does everything he's supposed to solid. He's realiable. Every championship program has dudes like this.

I think ultimately he could be a great help on special teams and as a DB.

I really want Hillman at safety...I love his film. I'm all for Barnes as an athlete and figure it out later though. If it is one or other I would be tempted to let Hillman play out if I'm being honest.
