A rule that is unenforceable? Yeah break it along with the 20+ other schools that are breaking it.
Confirms Gattaca would have flipped to the darkside if he were Luke Skywalker.

Saban's misdirection with TAMU was brilliant. For all his old man "I don't like things changing" bit you knew he was going to adapt to NIL and make sure he had every resource available to him in order to stay ahead of the pack.
Right! They were giving jobs to recruit family members/girlfriends before that was even a thing.

Just remove Keeley from the commitment list at this point, who are we kidding...let's go get M'Pemba
Never know who has better intel than others and I know we're supposed to believe that Shaun Roberts has these connections to STL. But, ISD has had multiple reports in the last 24 hours that M'Pemba does not seem likely, at all. So, we'll see. Though they do state we still should get him back for the OV in the Fall.

Yes I suppose I don’t know 100%. Neither do you know 100% on your statement, so seems like a without needing to be said point. If either was a fact it wouldn’t need discussing.
Agreed, Not sure how dialed In Lemming is these days but he is saying that Keon is looking for NIL. Lot of smoke to that fire

We pretty much knew that 2 months ago.

Not sure what part of it you’re referring too but apparently recently Shaun Robert’s said that he really likes where ND is at with M’Pemba. I’m just saying ISD doesn’t currently feel the same.

I think Roberts slipped and hit his head. M’Pemba has been trending away for a while now.

ND alumni and fans seriously need to step up. Quinn's FUND is cute and all, but we need to get with the times. Surely there are some wealthy alumni and fans who can start a competitive collective, right?
Absolutely, NIL is a capitalist free market. If people are against it, then they should be against Free Market Capitalism.

It's not the dark side to me. it's getting in the game. It's obvious that F.U.N.D isn't competitive with the southern schools and other teams. I don't care how creative they have to be. Match the offers. Our fans should never complain at another coach again for not winning the big games. They should direct all of that to BOT, and blue hairs at ND. If ND can't come up with ways to get Top 10 players, this the the ceiling. 10--2,11-1, and ass kickings in all of the big games with teams that can fund those types of players

It’s Shaun Davis & Ryan Roberts.
Shaun Davis is the one saying the MPemba stuff, Ryan Roberts doesn’t seem to feel as positive.

What am I missing? Did something change and we are confident.
"In this clip from Wiltfong Whiparound, Steve Wiltfong gives the latest intel on 5-star edge rusher Keon Keeley and how a decommitment from Notre Dame could be imminent."

Last update I saw was Driskell telling his members that he was granting them “grace” by not banning them when they get “negative”. Lol, this guy is such a clown.
He is all rainbows & unicorns with the new staff. Everything BK was the devil with him.

So he won’t say it straight up, but he has on a round-a-bout way said that Keeley isn’t committed anymore.
He made a comment that it will be really hard to get Keeley in the end if he decommits publicly, and he is hearing Keeley is probably leaving that direction.
Today, when someone posted old Keeley comments from a week ago about being committed to ND, he said those comments are outdated & not accurate at this time.

Things were tough enough for ND before NIL. Feels like it is only going to get tougher.

Timing couldn't be worse too considering they just assembled a staff of kick ass recruiters.

Gotta go find someone to replace Keeley. Flip somebody or find an undecided guy they like. Not much else to say.

Noted, my mistake, don't follow their stuff. I think the M'Pemba stuff might be a little heavy at this time but hope he's right.

Hoping Freeman isn’t wasting too much time here. He’s got a team to coach, a class to keep together, and has to train his focus in making ‘24 even better. Can’t get hung up in one kid, as nice as he would’ve been, he was likely an imposter from the get go. Keeping Bowen would be my sole focus if I’m chasing either. Only so much time in a day. Half that effort in keeping Keeley could go a long ways in getting Mpemba, Love, Bowen and beating Ohio State. ND doesn’t have to dethrone Bama quickly. Recruit top 10 consistently, win, and keep hammering the trail and we will slowly bleed them out. CJ won’t even be a junior until 2027.

They have probably already moved on. Keeley has always been upfront with the Irish coaches with all of his visits in the past. I don’t think this attitude would change in his de-commitment either.

Maybe he has in fact already decommitted, and is just waiting to go public with his Alabama verbal when he gets his NIL packages finalized.

From the sounds of it, this is over and moved on from. I don't get the sense we are trying to "hang on" to him at this time.

I'm sure there will be cordial dialogue in hopes of picking it back up at some point in the future. But, as of now, Keon is no longer in the class, just waiting for it to go public, and things look bleak as far as potential he joins in the future.

Mom tweets about money, Bama shows them the money.

They're same age as the "kids" who left their families to go to Normandy. Tired of this excuse. And the parents/guardians/handlers are the bigger issue anyway.
No the biggest issue is ND administration’s overly cautious NIL stance.

It would be a disservice to these kids if their parents weren’t trying to make sure they maximize their value. This is life changing money. The Keeley’s don’t owe ND shit.

These are kids at the end of the day.
Right. And in the end, football still has to be played.

This NIL situation should be a massive opportunity for ND. You just had Larry Fitzgerald talking to your players yesterday about how they are playing for the program that is THE brand with the most storied tradition. There are opportunities to maximize getting these guys money via NIL and getting them the 40 year degree while maintaining the values the program/university preach.
