Congrats you beat us in the same year that we also lost to Vanderbilt and had a lousy 5-6 record.

What have you guys lost 9 bowl games in a row? That's ridiculous considering the circumstances of Notre Dame football. CW needs to win a bowl game before we start comparing him to a coach with a National Title and numerous SEC East and SEC Conference titles. Not too mention a top 10 winning percentage in all of college football.

Your using 9 bowl games losses against us. That's history and you DO NOT want to talk about the difference in U.T. and N.D. History. Your team was picked in the begining of the season in 05' to make a run for the N.C. what happened? N.D. this year was picked by some to go 6-6 maybe 5-7 and worse in some cases. So What is your excuse for the 05' season? Your telling us our coach sucks because we were picked to do bad and we are doing bad. So what's up with a coach who took a supposedly N.C contention team and ends up not even being bowl eligible?

SEC fans love ND losing more than ANY... they like to kid themselves that they are the all mighty home of CFB... yet the hall of fame ain't in Alabama... It kills them inside that this year's 1-9 Notre Dame team is still more important to CFB than any team in the SEC save LSU... No cfb fanbase(s) is/are more delusional or homeristic than SEC fans yet they are super quick to point out any degree of their own flaws in ND fans as long as it helps them sleep at night...

Sadly the complex creates a state where SEC fans validate their very lives when ND loses... always have and prob. always will... That's why we get so many SEC fans devoting a ton of time on own message boards talking trash and trying very hard to convince us of this and that despite Notre Dame rarely playing a team from the South... does this have anything to do with BleedinOrange directly??? his own response to this will answer that question for all of us.

Not with guaranteed National Television every single week. It's ridiculous. You have always been a good poster when I have paid attention... that's why i went the rout I did...I figured my gross over analyzation would hit a nerve and you would be offended, at which point I would point out how fan bases, regardless, do not like being attacked for simply defending their boys... you seem to understand that just fine...

saying ND is aweful is fine... and absolute fact... leave the fans out of it... I like to believe us and nebraska are at the very top when it comes to respecting other fan bases generally speaking...

the only other thing I would say... ND has honorably stuck to their guns on not letting in the wrong type of kids... SC allows kids who barely graduate... J Co. players with sexual assaults on their records and so forth... ND has standards that match that of Standford and Northwestern... I personally always said I would rather lose every game than win a National title Florida or USC's way... this year I was tested on that and I can say i have never been more proud of ND... it's STUDENT athlete... not PRO athlete... so I think it is fair to say ND is in a very unique situation... they have factors that give them a huge edge and factors that put them at a huge disadvantage... but all in all.. I agree we should never be 1-9... it's been a complete nightmare in that aspect.

Actually, there are many reasons they are 1-9. And, many of those have been articulated in this thread. I am one of those that you have pissed off because you refuse to listen to any of the reasons and just respond to them with more arguments. It's a bit over the top to come on another team's board and just start ripping into the fans who care most. I personally can't understand why anyone would do this other than just to be a prick. Perhaps I'm wrong about that. That said, I do give you credit for apologizing. But, please just stop. Discussion is fine. Digging at fans whose team is having a bad season is quite another.

I promise that thought has crossed my mind many times. However, this year is not the typical year in south bend, and I'm confident that the turnaround will start next year. If things play out the way I suspect (recruiting, gaining of experience) I don't expect them ever to lose more than three games for a long, long time after 09.

This past weekend I was at a sporting goods store and the store clerk saw my ND gear... he followed me around talking shit the whole time I was there... stating he was a USC and Michigan fan...

He even grabbed the musical bottle opener off the selves and followed me around with it playing SC's fight song unstop... I was pretty pissed as I did NOTHING but wear a Notre Dame hat to bring this on... so as I am checking out he says my card is declined... I say ver quickly and matter of factly, "No it's not."

He states how impressive it was that I called his bluff so quickly (I'd love to hear his manager's thoughts on harrassing costumers and stating their cards are declined when they aren't) He also said that most people freak out when he says that... I then come back with... "I'm a Notre Dame fan, I work hard and earn a lot of money... my cards don't decline... unlike punk ass Michigan fans who work at stores like this for minimum wage... that's why I'm the buyer, and you just work for the seller."

That's a general statement. Either it applies to all coaches or it doesn't. Since there is no team who goes an entire season without penalties, and since we know there are good coaches whose teams commit penalties, it follows that not all penalties are caused by poor coaching.
