It was great to see this statement on Blue and Gold. I do not get the premium online service, so I will have to wait for my B&G paper. I think that our recruits understand that once they come to SB with the 2006 and 2007 classes we have something very special. Further, these kids see a true chance to play early and make a huge impact. Trust me, we will not be at the bottom forever. We will rise to the top again and much sooner than many would like to see. If you have read the article. Any tidbits would be great. GO IRISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't read that article, but from what I've heard it has a quote from Ethan Johnson about how he doesn't care if we go 0-10 to start the year.

I talked about this issue at some length in this post, which draws mostly on an SBT article on the same topic.

This makes me really happy. It's good to have a crop of great football players who genuinely seem to love Notre Dame.

Go Irish. Let's turn this season around.

It seems as if we are bringing a great group of high character guys. I am excited to see them blended in with the current youth on the team. Go IRISH

I was happy to see this thread until I saw the E.J. was the main comment... I am not nor will I be concerned about him... he's are big one this year but you can tellhe's ND all the way... I want to hear that from Filer, Crist, and the others..... please

John's post was encouraging, but something tells me to wait until signing day

----ACAMP trust me when I say Crist is the last guy you have to worry about seriously. He's ND through and through.

PS - I think this belongs in recruiting, haha.

The spectacular thing about this class is they are so gung-ho as a whole about ND. It's living proof that Urbie was completely wrong about ND getting recruits.

Highly talented? Check
Smart? Check
Love Notre Dame? Check (even those who grew up scUM fans)
Articulate? Check

Let me know if this had happened 3 years ago whether we would have a 5* QB from Souther Cal who is intelligent and well-spoken and ready to stick around and face, ANOTHER Southern Cal QB who is smart and articulate only one year ahead of him. I feel great about these guys - I don't think we have any defections.

I was with Jimmy last year after the LSU game, and I think he had the best way to handle this situation...just dont say anything at all. This was while he was down here for the All American game, so naturally, there were recruits from LSU, USC, Michigan, etc giving him no end of shit about it, the media going after him about committing to a "team that cant win the big game." All he did was say he was committed to what he was doing and that he would do whatever it took to make sure that doesnt happen in HIS tenure at ND. Then he just went and played. I think our recruits just need to block it out and continue on with your lives. You can only really control what you can control. No sense worrying about that which you cant.
