How is this young man doing up there? Saw where he had 1 KOR for 21 yards
Yeah, he was a little indecisive, but once he gets a couple more under his belt he should be able to break some big ones. The kick return game set up some massive walls, AA and Golden just need to hit it hard.
I watched him in High School for three years and MAN is he good and FAST..In three years I never saw him get caught from behind. Great kid, comes from a great Family and I really look forward to watching him at ND and his brother who is a Junior is going to be special as well!!
I suppose our board students could provide more insight on this, but I've heard he is fitting in really well up here and is also developing quite a following.
It'll probably take some time for him to see some time as WR, but he should see quite a bit of action in the return game.
The Golden Taters, perhaps?
I think that pun deserves negative reps. Do I have a 2nd?
Weis needs to put the talent on the field now. So they get the experience this year, so we dont have to wait untill next year to get their feet wet.
he really cant learn untill he gets some playing time.
From what Ive read, his brother is better than him. Hopefully Golden brings in his brother for us.
Well from what I understand Golden usually played RB for his high school team so it would be hard for him to be productive as a WR before really learning what's expected of the position at the college level.
Trust me Goshengipper I watched Golden in practice EVERY day and watched him play in games for 3 years. HE WILL BE JUST FINE AT WR!!! Best hands I have EVER seen. And he did play a lot of WR in HS
I know he'll be just fine at WR, hopefully better than fine. I'm just passing along what I've heard, and that is that he hasn't looked as comfortable or as smooth yet as some of the other WRs in the some of the drills at practice. That's all, I'm not ripping him or anything.
That was a pretty nice catch he made against the kittens. Too bad it got taken back because of holding. I think he has a very bright future ahead of him at ND. Go Irish!
Q. In terms of (Duval) Kamara and (Golden) Tate, can you just evaluate what you're seeing from them?
COACH WEIS: I think they're both different players with huge upsides. I think that they definitely bring great athleticism to the wide receiver position. They're different players.
One of them is one of the fastest, if not the fastest guy on the team. And the other one is probably one of the best athletes on the team. So we're fortunate to have those two guys here in the program, and I think the future for both those guys is extremely bright.
