I'm not sure if I should even say this b/c I'm sure the haters will jump all over it as evidence that they were right and the sky IS falling after all and we're NEVER going to win another game and Weis is NOT a robot genius and there is NO reason to think that what we've seen so far this season gives ANY hope ... but anyway, I read that CW said that with the way we've played, he doesn't think that what Hart said was unreasonable (or something like that).

I would expect Weis to say that about any team and any player....he's not gonna go on record saying something contrary. More likely he'd say it shows great confidence; something he'd like to see from his own players.

Honestly, I havent seen anything from us that gives any evidence to the contrary. We cant seem to do shit on O, and our D gets so gassed by the 3rd quarter, tehy can barely stand. These 3-and-outs every stinking drive is getting REALLY sickening.

The way our defense plays against the run I would not be surprised to see Hart have 200+ yards and 3 TD's!!!! So that means our offense has to score 4 times...do not see that happening!!!

Dude what are you talking about?!?! There is absoulutely nothing wrong with our defense other than our offense can't give it a break at all. For those who know anything about football, it is much more tiring and straining to play defense than it is to play offense. So when our offense goes three and out 8 times in a row and can't give our D a moment to rest it becomes incredibly difficult to maintain a quality performance.

Does anyone seem to think that it may be more than just a coincidence that ND has been in the game the entire first half but seems to get blown away in the second half? Come on guys, please tell me you are more intelligent than your posts reflect.

I just wish we had this D last year, we would have been incredible.

ND's offense makes me sick to my stomach. If the D would have played half as good last year as they have this year, it could have been a different story last year. This year they are getting left out on the field way too long by an anemic offense who can barely get across the 50 yd line. It's painful to watch. They are gassed by the 3rd qtr. If our offense could just put a drive together, it would help out tremendously. I didn't watch the whole game Saturday. Can someone fill me in on where all the penalties came from? With our lack of depth on the d-line, we need the offense to start sustaining some drives. That way they have their legs in the 2nd half. What's happening is that they are playing way too much in the 1st half and are just getting steamrolled in the 2nd half, because they've been on the field the whole game!! It's not hard to understand. Great in the 1st half. Winded in the 2nd. Our offense needs to find a pulse. If I were Hart, I would guarantee a win too. Saturday will be interesting to say the least. I'm just prepared for whatever this year. If they win 6 games, I'll be happy. This young roster against this schedule = potential disaster of magnanimous proportions. They'll be better by season's end though.
