It's ashame that you have to be reminded, this isn't the year to be judging the team on wins. We need to see how this teams develop through out the year. But you sitting on campus or at work, yours friends, co-worker's or in my case brother, is giving you a hard time. I know it hurts. But you have to deal with it and let The Mad Scientist work his magic. If you can't do that, then your a SCUMBAG!!!!!

It's all about passion that's all. It's taken me some time to get back to posting. I know it's a retooling year but nevertheless I hate losing. Look at my team ICONS what do you expect???
I know better not to post after a loss. I know recruits and the like read this and what I have to say sometime will come off brutal. But man if the walls can talk in my living room. I must have threw the remote 30 times in one half. I know to drink out of styrofoam cups when I watch them because one of those cups is going to fly at the TV. Hey I am who I am. Passionate to the bone. Man I don't watch sportscenter, College football scoreboard or any sports news until Sunday. That is how I take an L. Sad but true...

It's not that you jump off the bandwagon it's that you just want to win. If I would post after a loss it wouldn't be pretty. That is why I mostly read after a loss. It's not that I'm being fairweather it's just that I get irritated. For those who do post after a loss well do your best to be calm and not snap your keyboard in the process....

By the way, I'm ND all day. Have been for close to two decades...

I don't think anyone on here is annointing Weis a god, but you can't disagree with his success. Brady was barely a 50% passer before Weis got here and look what happened there. Since when have we been so excited with two recruiting classes in a row? Who other than Weis could have brought Clausen to ND? Sure he has had some problems in bowl games, but they were both BCS games against a team that went on to the National Championship last year and a team that very well could go to a National Championship this year. So you really can't blame Weis for losing to two teams that are likely the two best teams in college football in successive years.

Sure the guy is not a god, but he is far from a failure.

I have to say that I've been confused by all the bashing going around. I mean we lost a great offense!!! Was anyone really expecting all that much this year??? I know I wasn't. Of course I want the wins as much as any ND fan but lets be realistic. I'm so sick of the media acting like we we're 'spose to do something spectacular and are now shocked that we've lost 2 games. I think that the future of ND football is looking great.

Difference of opinions is not the problem. It's not having knowlegde of the game is what bothering me. I don't go around putting men on a god like pedestal, as I said in other's post. I have never wore another man's name on my back. Because I root on the team not the player's. With that being said Charlie is not god to me, just I see a helluva coach, and I rather him stay around for awhile. Instead of some bandwagon, unknowledgable fan base running him off.

I share the same sentiments as you and wish everyone would stop acting like its the end of the world and that Charlie is the worst coach in ND history. Like you said, Have Faith People, Charlie and ND will get this all sorted out.

And if that doesn't satisfy you all then we can all just meet up and have a good ole battle royale.

I believe the season is a probably gonna be a wash... and ANY bowl invite would be a GREAT GREAT turnaround at this point... does that mean I've jumped off the badwagon??

HELL NO!!!!

I'm an Irish fan for life, but I believe faithfulness to your team and self driven ignorance are two completely different things. If anyone here states we have NOT been inexcusably aweful on offense then I suggest you rewatch our games... That does indeed come down on Charles... and he knows that, blaming Ty's recruiting for zero rushing yards is irresponsible... Charlie's best days are at Notre Dame hopefully ahead of him. But the fact of the matter is when you are at Notre Dame and preform this bad, you'll be in for some criticism.

Those is the "Man we are really bad" camp need to realize we CAN turn this around and need to be patient b/c next year the scehdule is FAR FAR more workable and Charles will then have almost entirely his players on the field.

Those is the "How dare you say the crap smells" camp need to realize that we have the worst rushing offense in the entire country right now... I don't care if you play the 85 bears back to back... that's pretty smelly.

We lost two games to two good teams and now most of us think that they sky is falling and therefore coach Weis should be fired. How sad.
