Mallet to play second half.
After their game against Oregon Mike Hart guaranteed victory against Notre Dame, he was then asked what if Henne isn't able to play, to which he responded "now I guess that's a different story." However from what I've heard Henne is expected to start next week against the Irish.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan quarterback Chad Henne did not play in the second half against Oregon on Saturday because of an injury, and he's not expected to face Notre Dame.
"I think he's very doubtful for next week," coach Lloyd Carr said after the Ducks beat the Wolverines 39-7.
I think if Notre Dame doesn't beat Michigan next week they will be crucified in the press.
So let's hope that the Irish do beat Michigan.
If we don't beat them then we'll be forever crucified by a transitive CFB herpes loss to a Div I-AA team.

I would expect Weis to say that about any team and any player....he's not gonna go on record saying something contrary. More likely he'd say it shows great confidence; something he'd like to see from his own players.I'm not sure if I should even say this b/c I'm sure the haters will jump all over it as evidence that they were right and the sky IS falling after all and we're NEVER going to win another game and Weis is NOT a robot genius and there is NO reason to think that what we've seen so far this season gives ANY hope ... but anyway, I read that CW said that with the way we've played, he doesn't think that what Hart said was unreasonable (or something like that).
We get beat by a team that got beat by a AA team and got waxed by Oregan...we deserve all the criticism we receive! I am just hoping we keep it close!! The way our defense plays against the run I would not be surprised to see Hart have 200+ yards and 3 TD's!!!! So that means our offense has to score 4 times...do not see that happening!!!
bad attitude = reality!!!
Can we stop the run? NO....
Can our offense move the ball? NO...
So how will we win against Michigan?

And this constructively helps us how?

He will play
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Injured Michigan quarterback Chad Henne will not play against Notre Dame.
Wolverines coach Lloyd Carr did not provide a timetable for Henne's return, listing him Monday as week-to-week. The senior was knocked out of the second half of Saturday's 39-7 loss to Oregon.
Freshman Ryan Mallett will start against the Fighting Irish on Saturday at home in a matchup of storied teams with 0-2 records.
"This test will be different than any he's had," Carr said. "But I can guarantee you that he's not intimidated."

Because they have no defense and Henne is going to be out now, leaving them with True Fr. Ryan Mallet as their starting QB.
