Having met annually since 1946, Purdue and Notre Dame will continue to play until 2015 before taking a 2 year hiatus and resuming with a 4 game contract starting 2018.

This doesn't really suprise me since they did the same thing with MSU. I wonder who they'll add to the scedule to replace them for a few years. I think it'd be nice to pick up a mid level SEC team for a few years, maybe someone like S. Carolina.

No Shillelagh Trophy...?
wtf

Don't sweat it, it's only 2 years. Sometimes it's nice to change things up just a bit. And if I remember right, this will be AFTER the MSU hiatus. So it sounds like the administration is taking 2 year hiatuses with a few teams to fit in some new ones...but only for one Home-Home series with someone.

Purdue/ND is definitely one of my favorites....
I wouldn't mind seeing them work Boise St. into the schedule.

No way, who ever they replace them with it'll most likely be a home and home thing. I never want to see ND palying at some place like Boise on the Smurf Turf.

Awwww....it could be fun. Just once!

We have never played VaTech...that one could be interesting.

Oklahoma and Alabama will be tremendous teams to play. We need to play more big time southern schools.

I think we should play Vandy again. I mean I could walk to the game. It would be great.

Yes, ND played Navy over there a while ago, and they have another game scheduled against Navy in Ireland in the future. I believe it's scheduled for 2012.

I say we should give to finger to those haters (Mark Mays of the world) who already say we schedule soft and go all Uber Tom Osborne on these hateful bitches... we should drop SC, Michigan, MSU AND Purdue and replace with games like "The Master's of the Universe Trophy" vs. Alcorn St.

They bitch about our place in the BCS every year??? Ink in the title game every year just to spite them...

;)

"Since Tiller became coach in 1997, Notre Dame has come to Ross-Ade Stadium five times. Each one of those games was responsible for the year's best single-game attendance.

Replacing the Irish's monetary benefits likely won't be easy. Schott said Purdue has had talks with Oklahoma State and Cincinnati to fill future nonconference holes in its schedule."

Interesting passage from the article. Whenever the Big 10 faithful start making noises about boycotting ND, this is why it will never happen.
