Though I'm dating myself, the wrestlers from a previous generation set the stage for everything that came after. I'm talking about Dick the Bruiser, Leaping Larry Shane, Bobo Brazil, Haystack Calhoun, the Shiek, Cowboy Bob Ellis, Killer Kowalski, Ricky "Crusher" Cortez, Lord Layton, etc. Of this bunch, Dick the Bruiser was tops.
I like the old school shit. My favorite from when I was a kid was probably Mr. Wrestling II. Other favs included the Von Ehrichs, Fabulous Freebirds, "hacksaw" Jim Dugan ("tough guy!"), Tommy "Wildfire" Rich, "Maniac" Mark Lewin and "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes.
