He is a big ND fan, and I've noticed his references to ND in a couple of his movies. Here are some examples:

1. Wedding Crashers: "Rule #40 - Play like a champion today"

2. The Break Up: Jennifer Aniston brings up the ND/Michigan game they went to and they use ND plastic cups in one scene.

Anyone notice any other references to ND in his movies? Besides the obvious fact he was in RUDY.

Wow, I can't belive you asked that questions. How about Vince Vaughn was in the movie Rudy (Greatest Movie Of All Time), he was the all american quaterback that had no heart.

Dude, I said EXCEPT for the RUDY movie.....that was the obvious.

I'm going to have to watch Old School again to see if I can find something.

Vaughn is a Chicago native, so the ND & Cubs fan shouldn't be suprising. He definitely filled out since the days of "Swingers". Refreshingly, he's not your typical limousine liberal who feels obligated to tell us all how to live. Add that to the fact that he's not some pretty boy actor (he usually looks like shit...hungover/lack of sleep) & he could hang out w/ us at Irish Envy...or not.

Vince is one of the funniest guy around. He has a new movie coming out called Fred Claus. He suppose to be the brother of Santa Claus. Saw the previews very funny. Let's see if he incorporate The Dame in this movie.

His character in Swingers is based on him, Favreau's in based on himself and Linvingston's as well... So that goofy guy in Swingers actually IS Vince Vaughn, or at least a theatrical version of... Favreau and Vaughn met while doing Rudy and became friends. When the trio was out of wrok and struggling in LA and Favreau was having trouble dealing with a break up they decided to make a low budget movie about, well... themselves...

Favreau now says he dreaded whenever Vaughn wanted to hang out b/c the night was always going overboard and a bit too crazy... just as the movie shows...

Interseting fact, when Favreau's character talks about having a part in a movie, but nothing ever coming out of it, something like a taxi driver or such, he's actually referring to his role in "Rudy"

never saw how that movie was so great... like the eye candy but aside from that I didn't think it was very funny, Old School was much funnier IMO... thought the breakup was better than Wedding Crashers
