OK, so let's just say that Leslie is literally correct. So that means that McCarthy (I agree it would have to be McCarthy) has committed to ND, but no one, I mean no one, else knows about it but Brandon Leslie, and Jappy Oliver just happened to tell Brandon that. For what reason?

McCarthy is the only saftey we're going after. Slaughter and Blanton are being recruited as CBs. Will Hill is being recruited, but he's not coming here. We don't accept "silent verbals" like IUB said McCarthy visited Stanford and it would void his imminent commitment if he said he was. I don't think we have any unknown verbals and that the writer is just a moron.

Brandon has decided to announce his commitment on Monday. Obviously with ND's recruiting success he has been informed that no offer will come his way. His top 3 include Nebraska, Georgia Tech, and Washington.

Bingo. Me too, he has family ties there. His cousin played QB there, another cousin is an incoming freshman for the basketball team, and yet another cousin lives in Lincoln.

Leslie was originally going to announce his commitment this Monday but has since decided to wait a little longer. Nebraska was a finalist and most likely the team to beat. It makes me wonder if he backed off because of something Nebraska is doing wrong. Trevor Robinson is looking elsewhere as is another offensive lineman. Another reason could be that the Irish don't feel confident with McCarthy and told Leslie to wait and see what happens. He could be next in line for an offer. I would rather save the spot for someone else or for next year but we'll find out soon.

Brandon really enjoyed his visit to GT this past weekend and decided to commit to them earlier this week over Nebraska where he was once almost headed.
