Its pretty clear Brewster has a thing or two to learn about "perspective". Probably never heard about the USC story of the facebook group about "white nation", and how that became a boo-boo. Comments like his, posted on the internet, are going to get out, and reflect poorly on the program...

I guess I'm glad he didn't go to ND, if his priorities are like that... or even joking about them. Its crass.

goshengipper, i know what he said probably does sum up OSU but lets be honest...its a 17 year old kid posting on someones myspace wall, what is he going to say? "This is Notre Dame's motto. Get an education, earn an Ivy league degree, and play football under a great head coach." I dont know how old some of you guys are, but im guessing youre out of college. But at this age even for me and my friends, thats really not that hard to picture someone saying that. and spelling really doesnt matter for the majority of 17 year old kids...when i get interviews back on emails some of them have typed a bunch of gibberish. i wont name names but there are some ND guys who do that

Gallup, so what are you saying that Brewster's post is excusable because he is 17 years old. Maybe if he was some anonymous kid lurking on the internet, not when he is the prized recruit thus far for a school that was just in the NC game. You are still only 14 right, would you post something like that, and if you did, would your parents approve? 17 years old or not, great achievement comes with greater responsibility, especially in this day and age, but I do have to say that I feel kind of sorry for kids like Brewster because when they makes errors in judgement like this, it seems like the whole world knows it before the kid realizes what he has done.

Yeah, I am with IUB on this as well. If that is what Brewster posted, being 17 is not an excuse: the guy is a year away from being voting eligible, and has made a decision around which $40K/yr Div1 ischool to attend for the next 4 years. Surely he is responsible enough to show SOME judgement on what he posts in a myspace - which even if private can be viewed by many people.

I am pretty certain that if Coach Weis was made aware of a recruit posting something like that, said recruit would pay a visit to the woodshed!!!

Agree on the spelling - but I am sure that was just an opportunity for Gipper to 'smack-down' OSU....

In my opinion, this just makes him look moronic and the school even worse. I think there needs to be much less worrying about other schools situation and more focus on the positive at ND. Let the other school dig a hole for themselves.

Isn't it odd that nowadays we say things like "he's only 17?" How long ago was it that you were a man at 17 and when you were done with HS you went and got a job. Sheesh, I'm only 23 (24 in a few days) but come on. You definately better have a sense of morals and responsibility by the time you are almost two decades old!

What I think Gallup is saying is that such things are commonplace in society as a whole, and therefore I would actually agree with him. But I would also agree with IUB that such a state of things is totally crap, and is just another indication of where the world is heading. You used to be a kid untill you went to HS, if you even did, and then you worked for a living. Nowadays people are still kids in college, and even afterwards many still don't have any idea how live in the "real world." We are breeding 21 year olds who have never had any sort of real responsibilities at any time during their life. Anyway, I just hope any sons and daughters of mine learn about decency and propriety a little bit sooner than Mr. Brewster.

Kids grow up fast now, except for the Paris Hiltons who have everything given to them but for the most part in the real world kids grow up faster then ever.

I didn't call girls "bitches" when I was 17.

Well, unless it was earned, of course. But not in sweeping generalizations like that.

How long until anOSU has their own 7th floor crew? They can have this kid. He'll fit in great in Cow-bus.

Isn't it kind of ironic that even when poor Andrew Sweat does not do or say anything that it is his thread that ends up being the source of controversy. I sure hope Andrew wasn't born under a bad star.

I have serious doubts that it was even Brewster himself that posted that comment. I think it is all bullshit

Over on DD it has been said that Sweat will soon cut his list down to three and has named ND and OSU as two of his final three canidates. Sweat said the final spot will come down to Michigan or Penn State, with LSU and the Cockwad having OUTSIDE chances for the final spot. He also said that ND and OSU are tied up for #1!!!

Sweat is supposed to announce this final 3 this Friday, and if you take his quote literally then ND & OSU are definitely 2 of the 3. Interesting that PSU is no longer definitely one of the final three, and where did Michigan come from again, all of a sudden. Anyway, 3 days with Andrew can be a lifetime, but it would be nice for ND to be still in the hunt after this adventure, even though all of the Bucknuts think that Sweat as a Buckeye is a done deal. I guess we shall see.

OSU has been the co-favorite for Sweat for a long time now. The other top co-favorites were PSU, then Florida, then now ND. Going by this criteria, I expect him to commit to OSU soon. But then again, it was the same case with Barksdale last year. But I sure do feel a lot better about Sweat than I ever did about Barksdale though.

I wouldn't say that Andrew has is certain on which school he will decide upon. I can so, though, that he has a narrowed list of 2 or 3 schools that he consistently runs with and a clear first and second.

There would be a lot of amazed (and stunned) ND fans out there if out of the 6 current uncommitted LB offers (Brown, Beal, Sabino, Hale, Filer, and Sweat) that Sweat could possibly be the only one that ends up at South Bend, and that is starting to look like it might just happen.

That might be a bit of an overkill statement... 4 LB's makes sense to a lot of guys like me. Stunned would be if we only got 3 DL commits.
