Frankly, I am a little shocked that support for Mike Brey is so high among Irish fans. Perhaps Nd is not as interested in basketball as I had thought.

See, this is a very similar argument I get into with Michigan supporters of TA.

Brey and Amaker, for their part, do consistently win 20 games. But that's not a gold standard in college basketball. Brey cannot even make the tourney consistently. Amaker can't make the tourney period. Think about that for a second. Every year, at least half of Big East teams and usually half of the B10 teams get into the tourney. It's the equivalent of going to a bowl game in football. If your coach is unable to get you there consistently, there's something wrong.

The 20 win game argument can easily be refuted by looking at Nd and Michigan's laughable non-conference schedules. It's real easy to build up 20 wins when you play horrible non-conference teams. Amaker has won 20 games the last two years? Is he a good coach? No.

yes, that was definitely a wonderful game!
