Is there a thread for this already? Did a search but didn't see anything.

Anyone read these books? Similar kind of feel as A Song of Ice and Fire to me. Heard the rights were bought for a film/show but of course the final book is not yet out and has been delayed after other delays. Sound familiar?

Anyway, any readers? Thoughts? I am a fan.

Name of the Wind is one of my favorite books. The Wise Man's fear was good but was definitely a step down from Name of the Wind, as he got a little long winded in my opinion. As you mentioned, unfortunately Rothfuss is writing like Martin in terms of speed.

Another really good book series is Joe Abercrombie's The First Law Trilogy.

Thank you sir. Actually saw a comment you made in the book thread and decided to pick up TKC. Read book 1, loved it. Decided to wait on starting book 2 until recently thinking he'd be done with book 3 by 2016 but maybe not.

How far into book 2 are you? I think that there is a 1% chance that book 3 comes out this year, sadly.

Don't know how I didn't see this thread originally. Amazing books. If I two complaints: Kvothe is too good at everything and Patrick writes about women in the most neck beard way imaginable. But Patrick's prose is so good who cares? The chapter about being drunk with your friends and walking home together is one of my favorites ever.
