If there is anything substantial to this I'll never mention any other QB in this class again.

“I talked to [assistant coach Todd Lyght] two weeks ago,” Mond said at the Rivals Camp Series stop in Orlando, Fla., on Saturday.

“There’s definitely some interest [in Notre Dame],” Mond said. “Me and my dad have talked about how LSU and Notre Dame are two of the big schools without quarterbacks committed, so I’m definitely interested in Notre Dame. If they offered, I would take a visit this summer, if not sooner.”

“I like the coaching staff at Baylor, so that’s why I committed early,” Mond said. “But I think Notre Dame runs a good offense and I couldn’t definitely see myself playing in that offense.”

With all the talent at IMG I was assuming they had a stud at QB and that appears to be the case.

I imagine these kids are struggling to come up with words to explain, especially on twitter, why they are dropping Baylor. However, its making them look pretty darn stupid that they keep referencing Art Briles no longer being there as the reason. Basically, you fired the shit bag that I wanted to play for, so I'm looking elsewhere. I'd try to distance myself from him ASAP.

clark has seen the writing on the wall for quite some time...just like him visiting msu but it was "only to support" his friends visiting...yeah right

martell states he plans on not rushing decision....sounds like him wanting to play immediately is a bigger deal than going to the "right" fit

mond is either auburn or osu

I was thinking the same thing when I read that. If anything, Briles being gone would be a reason to stay committed.

I get what they're saying.

They committed to play for a specific coach and his offensive system. That coach is no longer there, which has changed their situation.

It doesn't mean that they're still putting stock into Briles as a man or anything like that. Regardless of the *why*, the fact is that the school and program are not the same one that they thought they had committed to. I understand why they'd back out, and I can't indict them for that or their comments.

Meh. He was one of those four star recruits a lot of people thought was really good. Some people thought he was better than Justin Fields going into the draft.

I think it's kind of funny, but whatever.
