I'd say second closest off top of my head thinking very quickly is the USC win that sacrificed us to Bama in 2012, just due to the fact of what was at stake.

I really did love the win in 1996 too where we kicked their ace when Keyshawn won the Heisman....think it was 96?

Fall behind early because of a couple big plays, but Kizer settles in and the o-line beats OSU's thin d-line into submission. Red zone struggles continue but it doesn't matter as Yoon kicks 4 field goals, and the final score is closer than raw stats or the eye test would indicate.

Urbie's chin actually gets smaller, Washington is spotted in the stands with some "Ladies", Zeke says he's going to the bathroom and doesn't come back, and Buckeye fans will be getting in fights with 60 year old Irish alum in Old Town.

Urban thumps his package on Kelly's head. I don't think there's any way in heck Kelly outshines Meyer, ever. Don't forget the key to OSU is Kerry Coombs. There's not a better motivator in the game of college football. Combine him with Meyer in a major bowl situation, lights out. I'm guessing 42-27, Zeke runs for 275.

That's worn off and the me first attitude on that team will shine through. If we have learned anything about ND this year is they are resilient and play as a team. They will not be intimidated. If we come out like we did against USC BUT this time keep the foot on the gas we run away with this one. Have faith in this team guys!

Hey just my opinion. I respect what your saying but I just think OSU looks good on paper only this year. Our offense can score on anybody in the country and has the confidence to do it. Defensively our strength is against the run and I believe we can contain Zeke. QB play for OSU has been erratic this year and I feel a lot more confident if we put the game in their hands. Maybe it's just my heart and my hate for Urban talking but I'm sticking with my prediction.

Texas, UMass, and Wake Forest are the only teams we beat by 21 this year. Ohio State has not lost by that much since 2008 against a 12-1 USC team. I just don't think it's rational at all.

Other than the score (which is why you got jumped), I think this is a good analysis. IU had them beat and let them off the hook. We don't give up big rushes by the TB like IU.

We all know what ND is capable of. They can and will move the ball on OSU. BUT, will they score TDs? And will they stop OSU from scoring TDs? I have a feeling this game will be a lot like Stanford. High scoring, down to the wire-esque. 35-31 OSU. Hate to do it. But I just don't see ND pulling this off unless they play a complete, mistake-free game.

It's all good gk. I fully expected to get jumped on my prediction. With OSU coming off a NC , this bowl game means a lot more to us than it does for them. I've never been accused of being rational so no offense taken lol. Hopefully after the game you can hit me up and tell me what a great prediction it was.

OSU was only winning by 4 points at halftime at that Michigan game. Then they blew the doors off them.

My vote in the poll says OSU by 7-10 but my official prediction is:

Notre Dame 27
OSU 24

I think injuries and suspensions have been favorable for us the last couple of weeks and with Zeke Elliot potentially being out I don't see OSU putting up huge offensive numbers. If Zeke plays I think OSU wins 31 27 as he is individually worth a touchdown.

Yeah wish I could go back and redo my prediction since all the crap has happened. I feel much better about our chances now. I also feel like this is one of those games where one team is down about being in the bowl game (OSU) and not in the playoffs and one team is glad to be in the game and needs the win to validate their season (ND). Those games tend to favor the team who wants to be there.

For example look at what Nebraska did to UCLA just this year. UCLA 8-4 playing a team that should not have even qualfiied for bowl.
