I don't think it's possible for this day to get any worse on this site!

It would eat at me if he winds up being a stud. I like the way Lorenzo Booker's and Olsen's careers ended.... nothing special. Bush was never really Irish so it didn't hurt. This will hurt if he winds up being bigtime.

Gosh I hate to think that I'll end up feeling about Trattou as I do about B. Cushing ... this is really unbelievable.

Why?

Why?

Did something else happen? Because if this kid did that kind of damage then wow!
Forget the name .It isn't worth having a bad day over.

For anyone who doesn't know, Duke Lemmens is Jimmy's teammate from Oaks Christian.

WTF, I go out of town for a few days and Trattou is gone, what is the world coming too. I don't know if this is real, or a side effect of the massive amoounts of liquor i ingested.

i think this might be my last year checking on recruits. its so damn stressful. ( Benn, Donald, NOW TRATTOU)

how can 18 year old kids be persuaded like this....trattou was the spokesman for all the kids that WERE comitted to ND at the AA game. when i read all these posts i thought nothing of him visiting UF. BECAUSE i was so sure that mr. trattou was an ND kind of kid. he was gonna be the leader of the d-line in a couple of years.

Since Jimmy's commitment in April the expectations rose sky high and they have came crashing down, this is one dissapointing recruiting class considering.

Dude, whole forums, and most of the recruiting info was lost today too because of a disgruntled mod.

Yeah, it was a little set back, but there is still time for Charlie and Corwin to steal some of their own. Let's hope for a little luck of the Irish.

If he can be swayed by one measily national championship and one coach with a weird name.....let him go. I'm drunk, be kind.

Junkhead, I am drunk myself..... we should get drunk together....lol. On a side note I was looking forward to seeing this kid play. He would have replaced Abiamiri and we wouldn't have lost a beat. In a way he did screw us but he did what was best for him and his future. I guess I respect that. Whatever, watching Leno right now, he put a smile on my face yay!

For anyone that has any doubts there is a new free Scout article about how it all went down, and why he did it.

Ugh. . . . Okay, fine. Well, I guess one question I have is are we really switching to a 3-4?

I think with him switching to Fla answers your question and he states it in that scout article.

will ND use the 3-4 everygame? No, Brown has stated that he wouldn't do that and it depends on the opponent.

So, basically he disliked the passive approach that Minter displayed, but he liked the agressive play calling of Florida....not surprising. Unfortunately, I was under the impression that hiring a new, young, energetic etc. coach was supposed to give that same impression....I gues Trattou didn't get the memo.

He likes the way they attack. I have heard Brown say that is the defense he is putting in and that is why Minter was let go. Minters' defense is what changed his mind not losing Minter. Good luck kid.

Two observations:

1. This really shows how bad it is to have a mediocre defense. All this talk about immediate playing time aside, kids want to go to a place where they'll enjoy playing. We still have a ways to go on this end.

2. The fact that he didn't even bother visiting ND (he never visited us at all even earlier in the season, did he?) suggests to me that Meyer was putting pressure on him for an immediate decision.

Did he even meet with Brown? Anyways the defense will be alot better this year and it will be fun to watch. We will get better defensive guys after our defense improves. BTW the Pats,Jets,Cowboys,Steelers and the Browns are punch you in the defenses that are 3-4.
