I agree, so what you are basically saying is that he still has to prove himself as a coach right? If youre still learning the job, I find it tough to believe while still learning, you have nothing left to prove.

Im not bashing the guy, Im just being objective here. The program is going the right way IMO but these blowouts are no different than how Tys teams got it handed to them. If there are 9 NFL players on the team, what is the problem???

well it is different than ty because cw is beating the teams that he supposed to beat. ty lost a few games we weren't supposed to lose.Let's be honest about it cw can only do so much with the players he has. the other teams are just bigger, faster and better.(right now) everyone knew it would take a few years to get back where we could beat these elite teams. I think he has really done a great job with the talent level he has on this team. I know everyone says we have talent but most of on offense and they can't stop good teams from putting points up in bunches. It may be minter but when I watch the games it just looks like the other teams wr just run right by our dbs. look at what fl did last night, they were all over osu. thats really what speed does. It makes a qb make mistakes and shut down the run.nd had no pass rush this year so qb had all day to pick the zone apart.

I just think at that point in the game the risk was too high...our d hasn't been the most productive this year and why put them with their backs against the wall right off the bat...
Weis said they practiced all week the fake punt and if LSU showed an unbalanced line they were going to try it. He also said that if you have a trick play and you don't run it the first chance you get then you shouldn't run it. LSU gave him the look he wanted and he ran the play.

When nobody had film on ND, last year, we were "innovative" and "exciting" - now its down to predictable and stale. LSU made adjustments at the half and easily shut down ND and in addition, made easy work of ND.

Even Terry Bradshaw commented "if youre down 41-14 and throw a 1 yard pass, you might as well get the young guys in"

Its draw, bubble screen, slant.

Of course on defense - same old story - get a reciever down field and air it out and youre sure to get yourself 2-3 50+ yard TDs against the ND defense.

Outcoached by Les Miles. Fantastic job guys.

The fake punt was as dumb a call as Ive seen. Down 7 already and you give them a 20 yard field? Good Lord. Ever heard the expression "you cant win a game in the first half but you can sure lose a game in the first half."

After ND tied it at 14, who didnt just know for sure LSU was gonna pop a quick 7 up there before half? It was almost scripted in my book. Good ole Zibby in hot pursuit of a guy 8 yards behind him - per the usual.

In 4 weeks prep, with an opponent everybody knew was better, there was NOTHING new in the ND arsenal. We ran on them in the first half at will - 2nd half Walker gets 3 yards after a 125 first half.

I would say, at this point, the only saving grace is the incoming recruit class, other than that, ND is far behind the elite teams, and Id even say far behind the boise's and Arkansas' and even maybe a BYU and any other passing team in the fringe top 20.

Don't act like an idiot! Go root for Ty and the Huskies!

yeah, well that happens on a lot of boards.... there are children everywhere. Can't really say i agree that people changed your name title (it wasn't necessarily an admin -- you can buy the power to do that with bankroll) either. But i do wonder why you donned the name Brady Quinn when you aren't an Irish fan?

I didn't know you had to be a Notre Dame fan to join these boards. I don't hate Notre Dame by any means, I actually believe as stated in prior posts that it is good for college football as a whole when they are doing well. However, after my first post on these boards I get completely bashed for no reason. Brady Quinn was a just for fun name, no reason behind it...

LOL, now it says below my name "I have Genital Herpes" Very funny and classy, I really expected more from Notre Dame fans as they always talk about the superior academics and have always seemed classy no matter if they know football or not but some people on this board obviosuly didn't get a Notre Dame education because they don't have class and the majority of Notre Dame alumni I have come into contact with are very classy and well-spoken.....It's a shame some on here have to give the Irish a bad name....

i didn't say you had to be a fan to join the boards. i, unlike a lot of people here, actually like talking to fans from other teams. i've read your posts and know where you stand, and i encourage you to voice your opinion... as long as it doesnt directly attack someone else. a lot of guys on here are touchy, but ignore them. if you have something to say that's worth reading, then put it down. don't really bother with the close minded people that cant see others' points of view. i was just wondering why you chose the name, thats all. at any rate, welcome to the board. who do you root for, btw?

edit: i changed your tag back for you

this thread is out of control. we got our ass kicked there is no other way to put it.

CW got outcoached.
offense got their butts handed to them for 3 qtrs.
defense played the same as the always do
special teams wasn't very special

overall, CW is doing fine with the people he has. you can't expect a team with our weapons, or lack thereof to win every game. in a couple of years we will see what happens.

The reason I joined was to discuss football in general and Notre Dame football as well because I figured a Notre Dame board would be fun to talk on. I came over after the AA game and saw how people were talking down Chris Donald and all of the other recruits that chose other school and I gave my opinion on it and immesdiately got bashed. I am a Tennessee Volunteer ticket holder so for us to get Donald was big and it would have been huge for Notre Dame but people were trying to say he didn't look that great in the game. I only became offensive and stirred up a few things when people immediately bashed my opinion. That's all. I look forward to enjoying these boards and talking some Notre Dame football with people who are willing to accept criticism and also recieve when credit is given. Thanks, and glad to be here with some of you......

Your tone has a changed a lot since your first couple of posts here. People didn't respond too hot to posts bordering inflammatory remarks. But looks like you're doing okay now.

This is much more honest.

Can't you see how calling yourself Brady Quinn and attacking the Irish and the opinions here would be construed as trolling? I'm still not convinced it wasn't but everybody's entitled to a change.

Here's an idea....re-register or change your name to a UT based name. Come here and defend your program as an open fan of your program. I can't say with all the new blood from the stinking ESPN board that you won't get bashed, but I know the old guard here won't bash you for fighting for your own. But pretending to be one of us and then throwing stones is not the way to do it.

Besides, this is a Notre Dame board. Our views are going to be slanted toward ND. We don't have to be objective about other programs. I don't expect UT boards to be objective about Notre Dame.

thats because someone was actually kind enough to treat him like a person instead of some instant piece of fodder. so he is a fan of a different team and says things that you don't agree with... big deal. some of you guys are just too sensative. the people that were dissing Donald are utterly embarrassing. he's a great player and will be a beast in college. and, you guys arent all so high and mighty that you are the end all authority. grow up. learn to take criticism... learn to have social skills where you can interact with people that have a different viewpoint. wow, pitiful.

I did not put that in my profile it was kindly given to me and locked by the CLASSY Moderator of this board. Also, I assume they aren't a Notre Dame grad either, because again I expect more from Notre Dame alumni...

Blah, edited after I read more posts. You go to a Cincinnati college Brady? I went to Xavier.

Are you serious? Well in that case, pull up a chair.

Yes, I used to live in Cincy until July when I moved to Atlanta after graduating college. Bengals had a tough year. They need a little more on defense I think, to be honest their team (excluding the misfits who got in trouble) reminded me alot of Notre Dame. Great offense but no defense. I think Breshnehan (probably completely butchered his name but he derseves it) need to go! I hope we can sign a mean and Tough middle linebacker and perhaps Nate Clements. We'll see what MArvin does. He has close ties with some of the Ravens guys, not sure if they would jump ship to come to Cincy but it's wishful thinking right?

The difference is, this was an outsider posing as an ND fan. You've been here long enough to know there are plenty of opinions to go around and there are plenty here who will voice displeasure with ND.

His new honest approach is fine. It's easier to take it when he's not pretending to be something he's not.

Anyway, I missed the Donald posts. I really don't read much of the recruiting stuff here anymore. It's unreadable. If any ND fans slammed Donald for choosing UT, they are fools. It's a kid making a decision HIS decision that will affect the rest of his life. We may not like it, but he deserves to be respected in his decision.

I fixed part of that for you. Yes, the Bengals are a lot like ND. Though the Bengals have more playmakers on the edge on offense so their excuses are fewer.

Yes, Breshnehan should go. Though at this point, I doubt he will. I think Ahmad Brooks could be the answer at MLB. Remember, he came late last year and played catch up all through camp. I think the biggest needs are DE and youth and athleticism at the corner opposite Jonathon Joseph.

Yes, I like Ahmad Brooks very much and did you hear Pollack got the ok to play from his doctors if rehabs goes ok. I'm not sure I would play if I were him but I would love to have him back if he's ok.

Never. I see no point in that. I'm pretty open about which teams I don't like when I'm conversing with my Irish brethren. And I do visit other teams boards for information and sometimes discussion. But I always remember whose house I'm in. I don't like Ohio St, but I used to post on bucknuts on occassion because it's a good source of info about local recruits. I never slammed Ohio St over there or made any attempt to hide my allegiance.

That's a tough one. I'm not sure what I'd do if I were him. He seems to have his priorities straight. If he comes back, it will be with 100% effort and 100% confidence in his health.

I felt terrible for him. He's a hard nosed guy on a defense that desperately needs them.

I will change my name but I am not sure how, also I was never asked my allegiance so I really wasn't trying to hide it. Sorry for the misunderstandings.....

You might want to change your title again. You can do so from within your CP.
