Anyone have info on what became of Jamie Ryan?

I was lucky enough to get to know Jamie in his senior year at my wife's alma matter (Marian Catholic High School) and knew that he played for a bit under Willingham, and if I'm not mistaken, an additional one under Weis.

My question is, does anyone know what became of him? Last I heard, he suffered a pretty serious back injury.

Dang dude. I wish I could help ya but I have hear nothin at all. I know I really liked him as a player though.

He was pretty tough. Didn't have first round talent persay, but he never quit on any play. He was the type who played every down like it was his last.

He football career did end due to a persistent back injury. It was a announced in a late winter/early spring press conference.

That's too bad. I knew he was talking about getting in to coaching, so maybe he can wind up being a graduate assistant coach.
